KTH: Bachmann dodges question on CPAC remarks

Keeping Them Honest, CNN's Dana Bash asked Rep. Michele Bachmann to support claims she made about President Obama's "lavish" lifestyle with facts. She got zip.

This is part of what the Congresswoman said in her speech at CPAC regarding the White House budget:

A new book is out talking about the perks and excess of the $1.4 billion a year presidency that we are paying for. And this is a lifestyle that is one of excess.

Now we find out that there are five chefs on Air Force One. There are two projectionists who operate the White House movie theater.

They regularly sleep at the White House in order to be readily available in case the first family wants a really, really late show. And I don't mean to be petty here, but can't they just push the play button?

We are also the ones who are paying for someone to walk the president's dog, paying for someone to walk the president's dog?

Nothing that Rep. Michele Bachmann said is untrue. Chefs or cooks, who cares? We pay. Gardener walks the dog, we still pay, when he could be trimming roses in the rose garden. Maybe Anderson and Dana should run down Senator Reed to find out how the sequester killed the Marines in Hawthorn.

She was right – Bengahzi is more important than the $102,000 spent on the dog handler but as usual the liberals prefer to hate! We have no answers as to why four Americans were killed and denied the extra security they asked for but to Liberals like Hilary "what does it matter".

She made a fool of herself. I dont know who's worse...Bachmann or Palin. They both embarrass themselves all the time. As far as this lavish lifestyle....the Pres is PAID a salary to be the Pres. How he spends his money is nobody's business. Besides BOTH Obamas are Ivy League educated people....Columbia Harvard and Princeton...the jobs they got with those Universities on their resumes prolly got them good, well paying jobs...maybe they had some money saved up....

Shame on Minnesota for keeping her as their congresswoman. She's a disgrace for the congressional office.

Michelle Bachman's MO isn't "shoot first, ask questions later" as Dana stated in her attempt to interview Bachman on last night's show. Bachan's method is really "shoot first, don't answer questions later". Keep keeping 'em honest, Anderson!!!

CPAC – Michele Bachmann. It is sad that a person that is a Representative is constantly quoting lies about the Democratic Members and President Obama. Michele Bachmann does not get anywhere with her comments, because the rest of the world is ignoring her comments.

    Michelle Bachman,

How many Americans are dead because of our involvement in the war in Iraq, that we went into based on a LIE!

A lot can be said about a person like Michelle Bachmann that can't establish eye contact with a reporter because she knows that she's fabricating the story about Obama.

Can't get her facts right, lies most of the time. Can't you people in Minnesota find a better candidate in that district??? It doesn't have to be a democrat. Bengazi..Blah blah blah.. What about Iraq?????

Glad to hear of your vow to keep "them" honest. Why don't you do that with democrats, but especially why didn't (or haven't) you done that with Barack Obama. Five years of dodging the hard questions of him and his party members, makes me laugh at your vow. Want us to take it seriously? Start asking those tough prying answers of the one's you've been accused of having that liberal bias toward. Start posting those interviews, if you really mean it. I won't believe your comments, until I do.

Bachmann is so untrue with everything that comes out of her mouth. I don't know how she got reelected.......she is mean spirited-Now she wants money for road construction in her area in MN. Doesn't she know that her party said NO to all of this......they better not fund her..........And she is still in congress--UNREAL....
CPAC-they spewed venom out of every speakers mouth--what a turn off!!!!!!!!

So, if I understand your reporting correctly, Bachmann's CPAC statements are truthful, just misleading.

A Republican who can't support her claims with facts? But they're usually so scrupulously accurate, so careful to not just spout off with whatever's laying on the flat smooth surface of their brains at any given moment.

I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you!
