Maybe Pistorius was innocent, in that he thought he was shooting at an intruder who had nothing good planned in his home invasion. S. Africa can be a lot more dangerous than here in the U.S., and that fact alone could have made him paranoid and jumpy. He was sobbing so much since it was so much of a shock to him since with each accusation he realized he had killed the woman whom he really loved and would have forfeited his life for. He had gotten death threats, and I think his house was not in a neighborhood but isolated or such.
