Weren't we told that the ONLY reason the SEALS shot Bin Laden was that he was armed and presented an eminent threat ? But now we hear that not only was he shot at close range (10 " ?! ), but in the pitch dark and couldn't even SEE his attackers. Isn't this considered MURDER, no matter what the cause ? Someone PLEASE explain TIHIS one now.

With all due respect to this brave Navy Seal, he knows his benefits, he knows retirement is at 20 years. My father served in the USMC and went to Vietnam and fought our enemies there. We didnt know the names of the enemies he shot, but is he less a hero. NO. This is their job. This is what they signed up for. I am sorry for the hardship he faces getting out of the service, and the many who are. The many who need the help of the VA and dont know how...The issues of course are far more complex than this one veteran, but ALL our veterans deserve the respect and thankfulness, but dont blame the military because he chose to retire early.

My problem with the Navy Seal complaining about not having a pension is why did he get out of the military, in order to qualify for a military pension you need to serve a minimum of 20 years, how long was he in? If he had retired he could buy health insurance for his family just like all military retiries, we get nothing for free. I have a disibility from the VA but they only provide care for those items listed as being service connected, so I also have to pay for health insurance.
