That the police have now opened up TWICE on innocent civilians simply going about their business speaks volumes about who it is that is speaking the truth about rampant violence going largely unpunished on the LAPD and numerous other PDs throughout the nation. Until society gets over it's view of LEOs as rascally CHiPS officers, or brooding, dark, but essentially noble CSI types who "just want to do the right thing" , then the nation's PDs will continue to serve as one of the few remaining bastions within modern societies that apparently are still willing to tolerate the highly authoritarian personality (RWA-SDO: Altemeyer-Pratto) we know is strongly attracted to careers within a nation's PDs, it's prisons, or a military career. They make up a large proportion of most PDs membership despite our knowledge of their strong tendency to act out on any one of the many traits that describe the authoritarian personality syndrome, any one of which would normally be enough to have that person disqualified from a well-run, socially responsible police dept.
BTW. Dr. X. Amador is hedging the truth regarding his past involvement with the suspect, as well as the LAPD itself.
I'd like to see the video he sent to Anderson Cooper. I watched as CNN said they were going to investigate whether he was fired unjustly but I only heard more details of the investigation according to police transcripts.
I strongly suspect that Dorner has been fairgamed and harassed since his sacking. As the security services know well, when an individual is fairgamed and hounded they become psychologically unstable. This instability is more like post traumatic stress disorder than a psychotic event.
Through hounding, Dorner's propensity for violence has been brought to the fore. Usually the type of hounding used in fairgaming is meant to illicit the sense of being preyed up on by a targeted individual. The flight or fight instincts kicks in and in the case of Dorner, he has opted to fight. Most victims of police hounding commit suicide or join the ranks of homeless rough sleeper due to psychological injury.
What Dorner is doing is wrong, but this story and the actions by the LAPD when stopping the paper truck really seems questionable. The LAPD doesn't seem to want to capture him, they seem to want to kill him. Is this to cover something up? Or simply because he is more dangerous than an entire state's worth of police?
And is a perfect example of the rampant disregard for civilian lives, not to mention civil rights the LAPD has shown through much of its history, and which Dorner has seized on as a way of rehabilitating his own image. OR...He may indeed be sincere.
Just watched the show on the shooting , the innocent people shot I'm sure had a different TAG NUMBER which I'm sure they saw . There is no excuse for what happened .

You may have already noticed or it has been brought to your attention that the manhunt in so. calif is playing out just like the benicio del toro film. The Hunted. Very strange in all the similarities. Someone might want to check how it plays completely out. I forget the ending as it was a painful movie to watch. As much as I love Benicio, the tenseness of it was unbearable. thanks for covering this. Sad for everyone involved.

Although, it is awful what this guy has done, I think it is time to investigate the LAPD

may possibly be just a criminal organization masquerading as a police department
