There are many Healthy overweight people in the world. Health cannot be determined by weight. My grandmother lived to be 102 years old at 5 ft 2 inches and 260 lbs. She was considered obese and was big all her life. She never once had a health problem with the exception of average viruses. She had several High Stress Jobs throughout her life, 6 children, 18 Grand children and 36 Great grandchildren. She Died in her sleep in her own home at 102 years old. Now tell me that being fat makes you unhealthy or likely to die young.
Oh come on, leave the Governor be already. Some people have a predisposition to be heavy and it's sad that we as a society have to make a story about it.
I do believe it matters a great deal. Not only as a health issue but as a representative issue. Do we want our children being unhealthy and overly fat? NO we do not!
While it takes all kinds of factors into the making of a presidential candidate, this over weight issue is one I would rather my commander -in-chief did not have. As a person who struggles with her weight after having a stroke, I do understand how being healthy is so important.
