How come we don't see more stories about shooters that failed because someone had a gun? Mr.Cooper, please do a story on this side. Of course it won't draw as much controversy/emotions as the other school shootings, but lets show both sides.
This is a serious proposal for safety in our schools.
Each classroom should have a way to lock the door with a bolt lock, once the students are all in class.
Each room needs to have a survailance camera focussed on the outside of the door and a monitor in the classroom for the teacher to be able to monitor anyone trying to enter.
There needs to be a doorbell or such for anyone wanting to enter after the door is locked.
I believe these measures will help secure our children in their classrooms.
In addition, their should be police presence before and after school.
The other vulnerable area is in the yard during recess. Again, monitored surveilance cameras might help here.
