Federal authorities arrested a 37-year-old Bronx woman on Thursday after she allegedly concocted a ruse in the wake of the Connecticut mass shooting and posed as a relative of one of the slain children.
Nouel Alba is accused of using her Facebook account to solicit money from those wanting to donate to victims' families, claiming that the money was to be used for a "funeral fund," according to a U.S. Justice Department statement.
The donors apparently transmitted the money to a PayPal account controlled by Alba, who later allegedly lied about the scam to federal investigators, prosecutors said.

I hope that she will be punished with the entire severity of the law, this case has to be an example for this no hart kind of people. Personally I will ask for life in prison or something even more severe.
So is this woman any different than the guy sitting at the entrance to Wal-Mart with a sign claiming he is a homeless viet nam veteran seeking help? Every major city in the US has these people collecting money on the streets under false pretenses. Maybe not the viet nam vet claim but is is always something that reaches out to the sympathies of the public. Then there is also the major fund collectors that bombard the public with mail containing return address stickers asking for donations to any number of charities. THESE COMPANIES HAVE A HISTORY OF USING 10 TO 20% of the funds colected on helping those in need and 80 to 90 % to fill their own pockets. I \guess this one lady is easier to target and be disgusted at than the rest of them!!!!
She just pulled a different trigger causing more pain. There has to be a special place for her and others like her that wantonly want to cause more grief of victims.
Such an ugly scheme at such a time as this!
Where are her morals for these infants?
I say infants because to me (6-7 yrs. of age) are so dependent on us adults.
Tha's so very sad.
