I am a 71 year old disabled U.S.A.F. Vietnam vet that gave my country six years killed and blead for my country. I along with my son own a pair of AR-15s with four thirty round magazines two fourty round magazines and two onehundred round snail drum magazines these are for self defence. My son and I are law abiding citizens and no one has the right to punish us (law abiding citizens) for what these sickos did and as long as there's a single breath in my body no one will get ANY of my weapons or my magazines. OVER MY DEAD BODY!!! I'm sick and tired of seeing these reporters bringing on people that can't defend themselves against them and all you civie's that seem to forget what people like me did so you could enjoy the freedoms you take for granted every day. I challenge Pierce Morgan or any other anti gun rights reporters to a live interview anytime anywhere. I'm not a push over like the the pro second amendment people that you bully around on your shows!
your show has done an exceptional job of respectfully reporting this tragedy, but it is time to leave Newtown and let this community grieve and heal amongst their own,. they do not need the cameras anymore. take these cameras to the NRA headquarters, Wash DC and lets see reporting on what is going to be done about gun control. With all due respect, Jackie
I would appreciate it if you would convene interested folks from Newtown, CT, including councilmen, parents, teachers, etc., to explore the idea of designating Newtown to be the first gun-free town in the US, as an authentic tribute to the living memory of those deceased by the recent horrific events. I believe that this unfortunate event provides a rare opportunity for this town to initiate a trail blazing initiative to occur in the US and to change the debate on gun control in a powerful way.
Seems an easy finger to point and say "gun control" is the issue! Why have so very few reporters taken up the real issue of getting help for the mentally ill, even when parents are begging for help for "their" loved one. Are we a country so broken that we are afraid to admit they really do exist and to do something about it? Joe Biden should be head of that team also and be introducing new changes to deal with those issues in the same time frame given for gun control measures!
Hi Anderson, I saw your interview with Grace's mother. That was really hard to watch, I felt so badly for her. I saw she gave you a copy of one of Grace's pictures, an owl. There was a brief shot of other artwork, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Those poor kids had to walk past dead bodies of people they cared about, kids and adults both. I would never want my child to step foot in that school again. That artwork though, is something else! There are so many of us who did not visit Newtown this past week, but we want to help, we want those parents to know that we feel for them, that they are in our prayers, that we want something positive to come out of this that might help lesson their pain by even a little tiny bit. I would love to have a copy of that own picture by Grace. I bet if the parents got together, and in the spirit of love and compassion, made their kid's artwork available for donations, as a world, we would be able to build them a new school, complete with amazing security that could be a model for all schools to follow. Any money left over could be given to other schools around the country. In this way, the world could share their sorrow, their precious children remembered for their art and innocence, and other kids safer than ever.
