NRA helped defeat pro-gun lawmaker

The NRA withdrew support for a Tennessee lawmaker after she fought against a bill. The group targeted her with attack ads and she subsequently lost her re-election bid.

You would be doing a great public service if you would publish (and possibly read on the air) the names (with political party and geopgraphic constituency) of all members of the US Congress with their NRA ratings. You need not comment on the list.

Anderson. People need to know about what is available to gun owners. It is so easy to modify a semi automatic into a fully automatic. Most times it is an internal adjustment or for #35.00 you can purchase one of these.

*Easy to install~mounts in seconds *versatile~one unit fits most weapons *Legal~ *Accurate~can be fired from semi-autos *Tough~all metal construction Introducing the easiest, most accurate full auto type trigger system in the world. This incredible system allows you to pull your own trigger and shoot single shots, bursts or empty complete mags at a full automatic rate, legally and accurately. It's all metal construction goes on or off in seconds, and works on most any semiautomatic rifle or pistol. Installs in seconds and comes with it's own installation wrench. can be shot from any position. (For AK-47, AR-15, SKS, HK-91 & 93 & 94, Mac-10, Mac-11, Mac-9, 30 caliber carbine, M-1A, Mini-14, MAK-90, FMc, M-1 Garand & most other guns.)

NRA (Never Responsible Actors) at it again! What a self-serving "major contribution" it has offered to society. At the very least, if they truly believe arming the country is the solution, WHY DON'T THEY OFFER TO DONATE THE GUNS!!!

In some circumstances guns are the solution. In other circumstances keeping assault weapons off the streets is the solution. The nra likes to cite examples and circumstances that show that guns are the solution. For me, guns may be part of a short term solution. For the long term, I would like to see an effective plan to de-descalate the firepower of weapons. Such a plan to de-escalate the firepower of guns could include a ban on assault weapons, or raising taxes on the sale of assault weapons

It is not known whether a ban on assault weapons will pass in congress, or if it will be successfulo in keeping assault weapons off the streets. Another alternative, it is to raise taxes on the sale of assault weapons. If you place a $7,000.00 dollars federal sales tax on each assault weapon, the retailer will sell it for about $10,000.00. Less than 1% of the population can afford to pay ten thousand dollars for an assault weapon. 99% of the population will not purchase assault weapons priced at ten thousand dollars, because they can not afford it. So 99% of the population will not acquire these assault weapons. You can call it the Newtown tax. You can call it the Sandy Hook tax.

Your headline is misleading. It should read, "NRA helped defeat anti-gun lawmaker."
