   Guns don't kill people, people do. If we don't go to the source of the problem and start doing more thorough psychological analysis on our youth, you're not really working in the right direction towards prevention. If anything you're creating fear-induced bloated waste mindful of nothing but your inability to fully understand and realize where the problem begins and ends. If we focused on the psychology proactively, then we turn lives around. Think we're at a point in time where there needs to begin some serious discussion on how we can go about taking steps doing it. There needs to be emotional and morality tests in schools every year or 6 months and intervention / support programs for love and care in schools. We need to root out bad parenting if that's also part of the picture. To think how simple this change is necessary but how lacking in perspective insight as a society.

   The alarm system is a good idea also,not to take away from Sybil's point,but the offender is usually already in if the alarm is tripped. It only takes seconds to take out dozens of innocent victims and they can be out before help arrive. Remember these offenders usually have the intent to self-inflict themselves once they achieve there goal. The main objective is to keep them out. And in most of these cases the offender is not a random stranger,they usually attend these schools and can walk right in with there book bags loaded to the gill with there full arsenal of mass destruction ready to unleash their fury. In these case we will always be at a loss. The only measure to try to prevent this would be metal detectors,which is the best security measure for any and all that enters the premises, with no exceptions to anyone.

   what we really want is for the offender to never get in to be able to cause harm. we could start by reinforcing the entry doors,simply installing the really thick mesh wire inside the doors is a great deterrent . They have been doing this for years at the urban schools. It's time to focus on security rather than the aesthetically pleasing attributes that we most favor. If all security measures are adhered to this method will surely save many lives and virtually eliminate any potential threats,but the security is only as good as the measures being followed to help make sure our kids will be safe. No system is 100%, but it will be a dam good start.

   I think we need to start thinking out side of the box, if some one comes to break in my house, it would hard for them to get in because of an Alarm System, they would run away when it sound off. Some people even have their System hook up to the company, or the Police Station. It will cost some money, but we must do something to save the ones that depend on us. We have failed these young children this could be a simple act that could save a lot of people lives. putting a ban on some guns ? would that let the killing less brutal? we should Alarm, Alarm, our school and let that be a way of life, we do it to ward off the bad guys at the Air Port.
