Anderson, todays tragic shooting of the innocent is horrific. We all mourn the loss of life, and our hearts go out to the families involved. Dr. Drew hit the nail on the head, the reponsibility rests with all of us. It starts at home, each child should be provided a loving, supportive enviornment in which to grow. Open communication is essential as well as the parent becoming involved with your child on a daily basis. Gun control is always brought up when such terrible events occur, but nothing is mentioned about other violent media that our children grow up with; violent hollywood movies and violent video games. Yes, these are given a rating...but tell me what 12 year old kid hasn't played 'call of duty' or watched "the expendables" where the "hero" in each chooses his weapon and shoots up the set? I beleive that the violence that they are exposed to also desensitizes them. Kids emulate what they see. How about Hollywood and the video game companies take responsibility for what they expose and sell to our kids.
