WAKE up America. Guns do kill! Again today there is a mass shooting at a school. My heart goes out to the families of the 26 killed I can't imagine how they feel. CNN is wondering who this young man was that did the deed and shot himself. Well he is again an American. Without automatic weapons this kind of massacre could not happen. How many Americans have to die before Americans allow amendments to the gun laws. I don't have a problem with people who are responsible owners of guns for hunting but hand guns and automatic weapons are only to kill people. SUCH A TRAGEDY ONCE MORE.
You do not have to kill the second amendment. You do need a few simple changes to the law.
1) You control who gets guns. All of them, not just 60%
2) If you already own a weapon, or legally obtain one, you have three choices:
a. You can give it to police to be destroyed,
b. You can sell it to someone legally allowed to buy one, or
c. Make sure it is locked up securely
3) It is your responsibility to report any sale or theft to police within 24 hours.
If you do not, and your gun ends up in the hands of someone who could not legally obtain one otherwise, you will be held criminally responsible for anything that gun does. If it is used in any crime, you will be charged as an accessory to that crime.
Heather I totally agree with you.
