Given that a HIGH ranking REPUBLICAN congressman (MR. Cantor) followed suit in allowing the FBI to complete their investigation without "outing" the Petraeus situation should be enough for BIPARTISIAN agreement that, like Benghazi, there are things our government need to do which should not be blasted on CNN moment by moment.

This is where I will disagree with both Demorcrat (Feinsien) and Republican (King) alike; given this instant message world, information needs to be withheld until it is properly vetted and not as pundits want.

Mr. Cantor, thank you for living up to your position as you did; now please enlighten everyone else on the need for proper investigation before dissemination. Had this been false, as recently seen in the UK and the BBC, a good man's reputation would have been marred without foundation. You did the right thing, as did all those involved, by fully investigating the issue prior to disclosure.

One final thought; there was a law violated here by a former military person! As it seems no one else wants to say it, the UCMJ (article 134) defines ADULTERY as a CRIME!!! I have to wonder how this can ever be enforced again if a the former GENERAL can simply resign rather than face it. He may not be "active" but I have to wonder about his service record because of this....Any thoughts???
