KTH: Possibility of post-election compromise

The day after the election, there was talk about compromise in Washington. But a day later, it’s already sounding a lot like the last four years. The fiscal cliff is looming. Is compromise even possible? Anderson Cooper is Keeping Them Honest.

    why is that most other companies that are going bankrupt or facing their own "fiscal cliff" opt to drop their pension plans (an other benefits for that matter) as a means to save the company, but the government which is facing one of the worst deficits in its history is not even discussing this option. I know its not a popular topic but we need to start focusing on these benefits that our elected officials receive in light of a poor performing organization. this topic needs more media attention.
