McCain won't support Mourdock unless he apologizes

Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, said on CNN on Wednesday that his support for Richard Mourdock was dependent on an apology from the Republican Senate candidate for his remarks that pregnancies caused by rape are intended by God.

"It depends on what he does," McCain said on AC360°. He was answering Anderson's question about whether he still considered himself in Mourdock's corner after the comments on rape and pregnancy, which came at a debate Tuesday.

"If he apologizes and says he misspoke and he was wrong and asks the people to forgive him, I would be the first," the 2008 presidential nominee said, adding that he had made mistakes and asked for people's forgiveness after owning up to his transgressions.

I admire Senator McCain as a hero for what he has given to our country but I do not agree with him with how the US plays a role in the world today. Of course we should be absolute in protecting our country but with today's instant available communications the whole world is smaller than it ever was before. We need to have all countries who believe in democracy come together and be ONE voice in order to fight and eliminate terrorism.

Ted Turner's interview with Pierce Morgan on CNN resonated with me. It confirmed for me that President Obama is on the right track and that he deserves another four years to get out of the mess which was handed to him when elected. The American people are not given enough credit that they understand that in 4 years no one would have been able to clean up the economic mess. As far as I am concerned, Congress is to blame on the slowness of the recovery .
