Hello, I was a registered Republican for 19 years and 8 years ago registered as Undecided. Right now I am frustrated with this "political" circus. Are you serious that you believe what happened in Libya is an issue?? We are in a country that is full of Anti-Americans, a country that just lost their government, people are confused and the aftermath of war remains. Here is my question, are you serious that you are surprised there was an attack against the symbol of America, an Embassy? Is this Beirut all over again? Stop questioning this it is not relevant whatsoever in my decision making of who will be my president for the next 4 years. Start showing me issues that will help me decide!!
Biden said that the administration didn't know that the US Embassy in Libya had requested additional security or had expressed concerns about security. If they didn't know, why didn't they know? Doesn't the military brief the President EVERY MORNING?
Ruth, I respect your point of known and unknown, but is this really relevant during the pendency of this election? How can anybody be surprised that a symbol of America would be attacked in a country which just went through a war, lost their government and has so much hatred against America? Why are we surprised? I want real discussions, what they will do for my rights as a woman, what they are doing for strengthening public education, encouraging spending to increase demand which in turn increases the economy. I am sorry but it is the bottom of the barrel what happened(s) in a country where there is/was war, we are there isn't this part of expectation?
I am concerned about a president who is oblivious about the threats against us abroad. He's exposed his plan to our enemies in the middle east, giving them our timeline for withdrawal. Really?!. Meanwhile they continue to build their army against us. They train in the middle east, but perhaps you've forgotten they are bold to attack us here. Of course foreign policy matters and this president has failed again and again because he continues to downplay the threat.
As a Canadian very interested in the state of our Southern Friend and Neighbour, I am watching the debates to stay informed. At times during the debate I find myself very frustrated that no one challenges Mitt Romney's suggestion that lowering taxes on small business will somehow create jobs. In my opinion your high unemployment stops people from buying. If people aren't buying then small business will not hiring. Small business will not hire because the government gives them a tax break. That is just plain bunk! They will only hire if their is a substantial increase in the demand for the products they manufacture.
