Vice presidential debate snapshots

The only 2012 vice presidential debate came and went and left everyone talking (and tweeting) about each candidate's strong performance. Wolf Blitzer said it "will go down in history." Anderson Cooper called it "riveting." We asked on Facebook how you would describe it and got: Distracting, animated, Putin, war, disrespectful, draw, factual, spicy, wow, educational, chaotic, lively, substantive, buttkicking, fun, outstanding, awesome, interesting, unwatched, pathetic, rehearsed and malarkey, among other words. Have anything to add? Leave it in a comment.

Why is CNN saying Ryan won? Please check all social media and don't just rely on a sample of 381 people.
Biden won, ad it's so obvious!

Biden can't debate so he condescends. Typical. When you have nothing upstairs all you can do is try to rattle the competition.

Where's Joe Bidens/Obama Plan to improve the economy. All I have heard so far is Romney does this wrong or Romney does that wrong or this plan is wrong or that plan is wrong.

Well Obama has been wrong for the last 3.5 years and no one has yet to ask where his plan is to improve things. He talks about taking care of the middle class but there is no substance in that. I can say I am going to give my kids $100. each but until that happens they will have a question mark on their face wanting to know – When?

So, Obama when will it happen?

Steve, if you study the laws of economics, an economic mess of such a magnitude as the one created by 8 years of Bush where many wars were fought on credit card, it takes many many years for recovery. If one thinks recovery can happen magically in such a short time, then one is from a different planet. President Obama and his team should be commended for saving the nation from another depression. In such a short span of 3.5 years, economy has started bouncing back. Of course it will take some more time to come its pre-Bush levels. Unless checked, RR team will abort this recovery by same policies due to which Bush brought us to this condition. Obama,BIden 2012

Why are you (CNN) showing Ryan as ahead slightly in the debate when the Poll results on CNN's website show people voted Biden as 65% and Ryan 35%???? I DEFINITELY think Biden won, was more clear, gave specifics, had to clarify to Ryan. Biden was excellent.

Biden was the winner in this debate. He was secure, confident and stayed on subject. Do not mistake smiles for smirks and interruption for aggressiveness. He smiled because he knew what he was talking about and interrupted because Ryan didn't.

I watch the debate tonight and found that Biden stood up and shut Ryan dow on not stating the facts. While Ryan Did nothing untill 45min in to stand up to Biden, then biden made the point that he speaks from the heart.

WHY isn't anyone noting the fact that Congressman Ryan kept sipping water during the Debate? My mother and I counted that Ryan took at least 24 sips of water during the Debate, and did not see Biden sipping any. Isn't sipping water that many times considered nervousness was surfacing by Ryan?

Carol please i cant just keep laughing like Joe Biden.. Ryan was really burning inside from Joe's fire. Joe was just too much for him to handle. He had to cool off his brain.
