    My goodness why can't people just give Gov. Romney the kuddos he deserves for being prepared and being the much better debater. Obama was not prepared and he came across that way. Gov. Romney was presidential and aggresive and Obama just showed us what has been said before. He had no teleprompter and no one to feed him his lines. The moving boxes will be at the White House soon for one to move out and one to move in. Maybe this great country can finally get out of the mess it is in. Hallelujah~

      Obama was prepared, he didn't want to lower himself to a liar. Romney is nothing but a used car salesman, that will say anything to get a sale. He changes his lies so fast we cannot keep up with him. What I don't understand is how people fall for this man. Hope you are not part of the 47% that he was talking about, because he is absolutely for the rich.

    Joan Drum:

    In a pre-debate interview, Ann Romney said that before every debate, Mitt puts a card that reads "Dad" on it. She said he does it because it helps him remember what an influence his father was on him growing up.

    Hope that puts the mystery to rest.

    The media are in full defense mode. Everything from Al Gore's altitude theory to Obama not having enough time to prepare. He had plenty of time to prepare and hasn't been doing the job of president for 3 1/2 years, why would he start now? He chose to hang out in Nevada for his debate prep–he could have gone anywhere he wanted to. It's not like he squeezed in meetings with world leaders or anything, he's been blowing them off for quite awhile now. Pretty soon the media won't have to cover for him, though, he'll be gone. Better inventory the White House before they hand over the keys, though.

    Al Gore is a far-fetched kind of guy at times. However, you may want to read this, then go back to what Gore was saying. He "may" be on to something. Correct me if I am wrong. I believe that at a Presidential debate, each candidate is allowed to script a few notes during the debate itself. I believe it is illegal and very against the rules to come with prepared notes. Upon taking the podium after being introduced, Republican Nominee, Mitt Romney put his right hand in his right pants pocket and pulled out notes and threw them on the podium. I can not bear witness as to what was on the cards/notes, but shouldn't this at least come up in discussion as to what it was. Why is this not being shown during prime time. I also noticed that while the President would from time to time write notes, from time to time, Romney was looking at something that he obviously did not write down. Was it his note about how he wants to please his deceased father??? Go figure. I wasn't expecting either candidate to come with the thunder, but Romney was just a little too on point for me. (I only kept quiet because maybe he had a great mental workout during debate camp.) Then I saw the footage played in slow motion and he definitely did a slight of hand motion to throw off the audience and moderator. Check it out for yourself. I DVR'd it and it looks the same to me. While the President was reaching for pen and paper, Romney was putting paper on the podium. (suspicious)

    What was written on the folded paper that Mitt Romney pulled from his pants’ pocket and slipped onto the podium at the start of the debate (and quickly and deftly removed at the end of the debate when all were gathered about)?
    …post debate, folded, from lecturn, attempted to place in the inside still sewn closed jacket inner pocket of new suit – then unobtrusively handed it off to his son. Please view the tape and provide an answer to my mystery.

      "Dad". This was discussed already by some news team. His dad, George Romney, ran for pres in 1968 and saw his campaign destroyed by an offhand comment about having been "brainwashed" about vietnam. Romney is strongly motivated by his dad's experiences and council, and uses the card to remind himself.

      What is wrong with that? Many speakers should have memo for the speech and Obama also had one on that debate. We are getting paranoid and trying to attack people with nothing.

      At every dabate Romney takes out a piece of paper and Writes "Dad", then goes on the take off his watch and set it on the podium. His wife explained this in a pre dabate interview.

      The piece of paper that you noted was in fact a note sheet for later rebuttal. The sheet was entitled "Positive Obama Points" which were to be followed-up on during post-debate spin." The list of "points" was just as blank post-debate as it was when Romney pulled the sheet of paper out of his pocket.
