Can a crime scene that hasn't been secured 16 days after the incident still prove to be valuable to an investigation? That's a question many are asking about the U.S. Consulate in Libya. Tonight Anderson will get Sen. John McCain's response, as well as his perspective on the handling of intelligence before and after the attack.
McCain is outraged that the Obama administration at first pointed to an anti-Islamic video as the impetus for the violence. "They were either incredibly naive or willfully deceiving the American people," he said.
McCain believes "they owe the American people an explanation" for calling the events on September 11 anything other than an act of terrorism. The senator emphasizes the video didn’t spark the attack, and it wasn't a "spontaneous demonstration."
Watch a preview of the interview and see more at 8 and 10 p.m. ET.

Anti-Islamic video was used as a cover for attacking Libyan Consulate by terrorists. Terrorists always find the ways or create situation & environments suiting to their initiative. There can never 100% foolproof security as alleged by ex-Defense Minister of Israel Moshe Dayan some years back during his tenure.
Thanks for having Senator McCain on your show. I do believe that republicans are more in touch with reality when it comes to foreign policy and domestic issues as well. Thank you.
The last time McCain called Obama naive, it was in 2008 when Obama said he would go into Pakistan with or without their assistance if intelligence indicated Bin Laden was there. Now he says Obama is naive again with regard to Al Qaeda operations... Mr. McCain isn't naive, he's just plain wrong.
McCain, you're the particular type of dotage, for the day when Obama said, "It's a sad day," you said, "Obama did the right thing." Gosh!
Good report Cooper, keep digging, as a jounalist you should want the truth of this debacle to be shown, the American people deserve to know the truth
I always watch your show and find it interesting and fair. This is the first time I have ever responded to anything or anyone. I wish you would have called Senator McCain on his comment about helping the Lybian Goverment with Border Security. That was first time I laughed today. If the United States can't even secure our own borders how do we think we can help a country in the Middle East secure theirs.
This remark just shows how ignorant our politicians, Republicans and Democrats, are about the real problems. The born again evangelist brag on how they know the Bible so well yet what is happening in the Middle East is exactly what is prredicted in the Book of Revelations.
Thank for for letting me have a say.
