I,hope that Anderson and other real reporters feet an obligation to get to the bottom of the killings in lybia and report how this admin policies have made our relations in the mid east deteriorate. A movie? Really? What will be the next excuse? How many controversial movies on other religions have been made and it's not used as an excuse to kill americancs
I think President Obama and Hillary Clinton should thank their lucky star's that there was a two month old video to blame for these 9/11/12 attacks, instead of the truth which was the lack of beefed up secuirty to protect our embassy's seeing how it was 9/11.
In using this video as a cover they also gave the terrorist's and excuse to blame us for the attack, and another another reason for muslims to hate us. Most of the world and our homeland were, on high alert because it was 9/11 It is obvious by the outcome of these attacks, the blame lies squarely with Presiden Obamas misunderstanding of terrorist, and his lack of leardership in the Middle East.
In addition I want to commend Hillary for the warm send off to those killed in the attacks on 9/11/12 American's. But this attack is about as much to do with that video than the man in the moon. The media needs to do it's job this bias is worse than the muck raking.
I cannot understand why we are not confronting this individual who made this movie, He has lot to answer for.Freedom of speech dosen't mean that you can cause chaos and insult other people's beliefs. I blame this moron for dangering American lifes. Badly done.
I'm feeling that the Romney comments are being used (brilliantly) by the White House and the media to deflect attention
from the fact that the president has not been attending daily security briefings. With tensions in the middle east
at a critical junction, and the president himself stating that we are still under threat, why is he not taking the time
to read these briefings? It seems a very cavalier approach to national security.
Instead of more chatter about what and when Romney made his comments, why isn't the media asking the
White House......why was the Libyan ambassador missing for 8 hrs. during the seige and why wasn't the president
informed at that time.
Why is it that no one asked Romney why he believes that Ambassadors only represent the President when in fact they are confirmed by the Senate, Congress, and the President. Ambassadors represent America, which is why they have to be confirmed by all of our elected officials. They are the voice of our government abroad including Romney's running mate Congressman Paul Ryan.
If Romney doesn't even know how Ambassadors acquire their position or who they represent, then how can he run a country?
The administration should cont. to reinforce the movie was dumb as rocks for the young people getting caught up in the protest for their God in Libya. What God is in their hearts to kill over such a stupid insulting movie ? Does their God say, tho shalt not kill ? This dumb movie is just being used as an excuse to protest against the US and kill of which appears to be planned and manipulated by the religious extremist.Don't get caught up in it and looks like they are. What kinda trouble do the kids get into missing school in Libya ? The movie is no excuse and Justice will be done.Obama is about to break bad and they better calm down. The Marines have arrived ! God Bless the USA ! Do they realize the movie is dumb as rocks ? Where is the Libya police department and the US has spent billions.Hillary get tougher and real ! Tell them like it is ! She's reinforcing the movie is no excuse for such violence but being ever so politically correct with every word she says. Guess that's what she has to do. What do you think she really wants to say ?
As a Presidential hopeful (in less than2 months!) Romney has an obligation to make a formal statement to let the American people know where he stands on the mid-east matters, to demonstrate his ability to lead the American people...and to explain how he might lead us differently while in office. The timing of his comments are irrelevant... We have been at war with extremists for many years.
the present "government" of the US supported overthrowing the otherwise stablizing government that hasd been in the middle east and northern africa, in favor of what? Now we are seeing just what is in store for the wold, as when third world countries with undereducated populaces and unemployed masses, whom are easily led out of bordom or wqhat ever else, will surely be a menace from now on. Those despots kept tribal groups held together by whatever means needed, eventhough we may have not agreed, those nations where more stable then, compared to now. Visitors in those coutries have NO RIGHTS even if they are diplomats, because those countries laws are not like ours. I suggest that in those countries, the US cut all aid to the governments and see how fast those leaders change their ways. in fact the US needs to re-evaluate all foreign aid and send grain when grain is needed and stop all monetary aid for 2-3 months. Let us see how many of those allies are true. When the middle eastern nations are selling oil at record prices, do they really need our money ? continue aid but not monetary aid only. for the US is supporting those who are in charge of the very countries that are threats to all of the unbeleivers.
May sound crazy, but when I heard Romney's comment the 1st thought I had was, did he and/or the Koch brothers produce the anti-muslim movie; after all, his comment preceeded embassy attack.
Vice-president Biden said that the people responsible for the murder of Ambassador Stevens would be punished. I hope that includes the person who made the film. Just as you can't shout "fire" in a crowded theater, you can't make incindiary speech. When 'Sam Bacile' published his film on the internet, he knew, or should have known, that it would incite violence. That makes him criminally responsible for the death of Chris Stevens. Religion should be no shelter for hate speech – we condemn Muslims who engage in it, so let us lead by example and prosecute this man to the fullest extent of the law.
Probably the government is already doing this, but I think media investigators should be looking to find out what individuals or groups were behind the making of the offensive film which obviously was meant to incite hatred and violence. It costs a lot to make a two hour movie with eighty actors, so the guy must have had someone with money behind him. If he is an American-Israeli who hates Muslims then he probably is a Conservative. Also, I read on another site that he was supported by that crazy pastor from Florida who also caused violence when he burnt the Quran. He was a far right radical. Now I am not making any accusations, but if there were individuals behind this whole thing who wanted to create unrest and violence in the region then they should be rooted out and exposed for the cowards and criminals that they are. They have the weight of the deaths of four innocent American citizens on their shoulders. They need to be held accountable. I hope the truth comes out.
