In a short amount of time the rains from Tropical Storm Isaac will soak Haiti. As I'm writing this rain is starting to fall and clouds now cover what was a bright, sunny sky earlier this morning.
As we made our way through some of the camps yesterday many living there told us they were unaware that the storm was headed their way.
After speaking with them through our translator, many said they will try to ride out the storm in the make shift homes here because they didn't have any place to go, or feared they wouldn't be around to look after what little they have left.
When we woke up this morning we got word that the prime minister wanted to speak with us to let us know more about their efforts to help people during the storm and the challenges they face in alerting everyone to evacuate to local shelters.
President Michel Martelly joined the Prime Minister in an interview earlier today, telling us that they want the younger and stronger men in the camps to help the elderly to reach higher ground.
We are now in a tent city where it doesn't look like people are going anywhere.
Their hope is that the storm passes quickly and doesn't pack a big punch.

Good job to Anderson Cooper for his fair and honest reporting in standing up to the Democratic Party and Debbie(whatever her last name is,I wish she would pick one).I only watch Fox News, but will now give Anderson the benefit of the doubt and watch him as well. It is good to know that there are still some honest left leaning people like him left!
