Anderson, I have to say PATHETIC! I have been watching CSPAN covering the Fast and Furious debate. I can't call this a debate. This whole thing is exactly what's wrong with Congress today. This is like children arguing with each other. Each side just calls the other one unfair while the other side says "nuh uh, your being unfair." This all goes on for hours with absolutely nothing getting done. I'm just waiting for one of the Congressman to run out of the chamber yelling "I'm telling my dad so he can beat your dad up!" Way to go Congress, thanks for debating a non important issue like our economy and job creation.

Awesome to observe Rep. mica school Ms O'Brien in this interview. Her suggestion that a reporter has uncovered
"facts"declaring there was no gun walking counters Eric Holders statements made before the investigative committee! Holder should simply release ALL the pertinent documents and not hide behind Executive Privlege. What are they hiding? So much for a failed Presidency, and his promise of transparency! I have a feeling Rep. mica and his committee will get to the bottom of this. Maybe not before the election" but the truth will be known. Trustfully under the Romney Administration! We DO have a constitution!

It was obvious watching this smug person, was that he doesn't want to look at anything unless it will support what he is trying to accomplish – which is to make the Obama administration look bad. The whole truth is not important to him. Just repeating the same lines over and over again.

Neither Republicans nor the NRA could care less about the slain officer, his family or the Mexicans killed. This whole fast and furious situation is nothing but a witch hunt, racism and back to the Willie Lynch Syndrome of trying to control and keep the black man down – which is the reason the Republicans have blocked and voted against everything President Obama has tried to do. They do not want this black man to get in office and clean up the mess other white Presidents have created – Ray Charles can see that “God rest his soul.” This whole situation is a racial issue and people can't be that naive. Racism is just as blatant and rampant as it has always been. The Republicans goal has always been from day one is to get this black man out of office by any means necessary. They can not care less for the average person nor have they done anything to improve the economy or create jobs themselves. They are for the rich bottom line!!! "God don't like ugly!!!"

    Well, well, well....

Seems the MSM is being dragged into one of the most important congressional investigations of our time, and all Ms O'Brien has is a magazine article? One she claims proves that the evidence and testimony collected so far is nothing more than a distorted fabrication, and that some writer claims to have five ATF agents who know for a fact that guns were not intentionally walked across the border by the ATF.

Who are those agents? Were they in position to have first-hand knowledge of policy decisions at the highest levels of the Justice Dept.? Or are they, like Ms. Eban, simply expressing an opinion that remains unsupported by documents that the Justice Dept. refuses to hand over to the investigators?

Ms. Soledad focuses on a man who bought 417 guns, claiming that this sort of thing demands stricter gun laws. Why? Did any of this guy's guns get walked into the hands of Mexican drug cartels? Were they used to harm anyone? No.

The liberal gun-grabbers are losing the fight to restrict liberty because they keep repeating the same tired arguments, and continue to ignore basic truths. Law-abiding citizens far outnumber criminals, and restricting the constitutional right keep and bear arms by enacting gun laws does NOTHING to reduce crime.

Focus on the problem – if you can.

Your reporter was questioning a member of the House Oversight Committee about Fast and Furious. The question was why aren't laws passed to further regulate the number of guns that are allowed to be purchased by an individual. The gun shop owners asked the ATF about the high volume, and were told to just sell the guns. There was no reason to pass a law, because the gun shop owners did their job. The ATF apparently did not do theirs.

John Mica just proved himself to be a joke. No independent would ever vote his way.

Is it true that Dave Voth worked under Janet Napolitano when she was Governor or Arizona?

Soledad – Thank you for maintaining your professional demeanor as you talk to this Congressman who barely let you get a word in. It's alarming that our Congress is in the hands of right-wing extremists. It's so important to broadcast interviews with all of our elected representatives on issues like this so that we, the public, can see what is actually being said by our elected officials, pathetic as it is. Free speech is a part of the fabric of our country but I could not believe the general statements he made with no basis in fact. Again, thank you.

Great job tonight Soledad ! Keeping them honest ! I am so sick of these so called political leaders playing games when we have some serious issues that need attention in this country. All they can come up with to debate is same sex marriage and a shotty investigated gun running program. I say we recall them all these lazy overpaid hipocritical so called representatives of the people and get some real dedicated Americans to do a better job. Someone who will focus on the real issues in our country social and economic.

Holder is a big boy – not sure why MSNBC and CNN would feel obliged to clean up his mess but maybe your network has an agenda.
Karen Eben's theory is so convoluted even she doesn't understand it and said so. But, for some strange reason, she is the person MSNBC and CNN has decided to bring on as the leading authority figure in this investigation.
Either Eban has an agenda OR she is allowing herself to be duped by an agency that is under DOJ and therefore maybe being pressured to clean up a mess that both Holder and the President is invested in keeping secret. Typically, it's the MEDIA who pays and cajoles inside sources to leak classified information. In this case, we have an oversight committee who is trying to obtain documents that Holder promised to deliver – then reneged on – hence a subpoena which has led to the president invoking executive privilege – and the media does NOT want to know what is in those documents!!! Truth is truly stranger than any Hollywood writer could ever imagine! Typically, when there is a homicide, a prosecutor can subpoena documents in order to investigate the case – but an agent is murdered and our media doesn't want to know what is in those documents. Why don't you bring on the ATF agent who wanted answers as to why they were doing this and was told that if he didn't like it, he could get a job as a prison guard serving food to inmates for $30 an hour. I bet Karen Eban didn't talk to him and I guess CNN has no interest in talking to him either.

By the way, this roughly 2 minute clip only hints at what the entire "interview" was on AC360 this evening. Lots of heat and no light whatsoever, thanks to the Representative's demeanor.

Wow, that was no interview or discussion. That was United States Representative Mica talking OVER Soledad O'Brien. Disagreeing is one thing, failing to even listen to the question is quite another. He acknowledges not reading the magazine article–okay, fine. But if he agrees to an interview on CNN, why not hear the questions? Sigh. Such is the level of political discourse in our country right now. I feel insulted as a viewer who really needed to learn more about Fast and Furious. Now I'm the one furious! I can only hope that he treats his constituents in his district in Florida better than this. Otherwise, I would say he does not deserve his office.
