Tonight on AC360: Dad of boy in bus monitor video: Don't blame parents for kid bullies
Robert Helm, the father of a boy who harassed bus monitor Karen Klein in a 10 min. cell phone video, says it's absurd to blame the parents for that type of behavior. “That’s ridiculous to blame the parents. I was as angry as anybody else," said Helm. He also says he was saddened by his son's involvement and doesn't condone the way Klein was treated.

The parents absolutely deserve more scrutiny in this matter. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY MAN! Comon. If this he had said "absolutely, I take full responsibility for this" he would be hailed as a hero. But he took the wimp way out. Be a man. Be a father.
The big question here is why this person was even hired as a bus monitor of 7th graders..and exactly what are the tax-payers , paying for? Yes she may have been verbally abused, but half a million dollars, give me a break when children are starving in this country and people go homeless
i am happy that Mrs. Klein has gotten so much god attention from this after suffering the verbal abuse but i wonder, if it was my child, i wo9uold have to firs6t find out wh6y he/she would do such a thing.So before a punishment, i9 would want a really deep discussion about the situation , how Mrs. must have felt and plan a punishmen6t where he would learn empathy..perhaps volunteer at a Senior Center..you need to get at the root of the problem...I do hope some good discussions come out of this sad situation..
i don't mind if the commentary is erased... i just want the message to be delivered...
u know how i feel about u and everything... i just want to have a real chance to have something real without the interference of someone that just wants political gain...it is not fair... to feel the way that i do and not having the opportunity to just be, to just express, to just love like anyone else...
i still wish... having the wright one to listen too... i do my best but i, as so manny people have trust issues ...we want safety... we want a "secure line"... so we can express our selves as natural as it comes... as it should be...
bullied... ive been bullied for over decades... and still i have to see this everyday unfolding...its is still an issue but nobody really does anything about it... they are afraid to tal about it... cos they are being bullied also...this is an issue in latin america... and it will always be, nobody talks, everybody is afraid to talk... and everyone just wants to forget... but how can u forget if this is still happening??
Give me a break! These kids are a product of their environment and that environment is fostered at home with love, respect and responsibility. Clearly lacking if non-existent. I can only watch a few seconds of the video because I am absolutely disgusted! It is absolutely the parent's fault. So the kid is going to therapy??!?!?!?! Again...another display of your inability to parent properly. Fail! To these kids' parents, stop doing interviews and just letting us all know exactly how inept you are as a parent.
Of course parents don't teach kids to act this way... Parents are supposed to teach their kids to NOT act this way.
