The focus of Mr. Obama's use of immigration as a boost in his support spectrum needs to be changed. The focus should not be on how or when he keeps his word but the fact that he IS keeping his word! The President IS getting things done and he IS keeping his word, no matter how late it comes! Ms. Maria Cardona stated that the President had to jump in and save our drowning economy from the mess created by the last government! The Right Honourable Lady also pointed out that the Conservatives refused to support any economic or immigration compromise to ensure that President Obama received the boot in 2012. She further stated that the Conservatives abandoned, or rather, turned their backs on the American People. That is a fact. They put their interests before the common good of the people. They DID NOT do their jobs which they were elected to do! This, my friends, is unacceptable! The President has done his best with a Republican controlled House, and despite what critics are saying, he HAS gotten many things done as he possibly can! We cannot turn our back on the President who has so far, overcome the onslaught of the Conservatives. If this country is to survive we must back the principles on which it was created which means not giving in to the power of the Conservatives. We claim, as the United States, to be the protectors of justice and democracy, but how can we continue to claim this when our own representatives, namely the Conservative Republicans that Ms. Cardona mentioned, are drowning out the voice of the majority of the people to serve their best interests?
