Graphic sexual testimony in Sandusky trial

A witness broke down on the stand and testified about Jerry Sandusky's suspected sexual abuse which he said began when he was 11-years-old.

    Sexual abuse occurs more often than anyone wants to know or believe. America needs to wake up and value it's children. My son was sexually abused 6 months ago. We contacted the police and the perpetrator is now spending 60 days in jail, then 2 years on probation and registry as a sexual offender. Seems to be the going charge for a first time offender with no prior criminal record. I wish he could have been locked up for life. I knew this would be hard but we had no doubt what had to be done. Coming forward and reporting the crime is very hard to do but has to be done. I could never have guessed how tough and emotionally wrenching this entire situation would be. The victim was further victimized by the perpetrator and his family and friends. We both had attacks on our jobs and integrity. The perpetrator ran around town playing victim while awaiting the trial/sentencing. People from his church donated money for his defense. So many unbelievable events. I didn't know all of those people were in my house that night and saw and heard what I did. Evidently they were and I just didn't understand what happened. There's no way that a young child wants to have to admit that something like this even happened to them, much less make it all up and have to tell the story to numerous strangers and possibly a court room full of people. I have had numerous people come up and tell me their story and how they were victims and not believed. This deeply saddens me. Jerry Sandusky needs to be locked up. He continued to sexually assault young boys, despite the fact that he knew that others were aware of his actions. How brazen! Lock him up and throw away the key!

    I was sexually abused as a child, by the man next door. Years, years, when I told my mother she looked at me and said, Do not tell your father and stay away from him. I am 62 years old, been in therapy, I will never live one day not having a reminder of it. This man needs to be put away, and the people who back him because of Penn State need to open their eyes!!
