My mother died of leukemia after several years fighting MDS. She was receiving transfusions more than once a week and they stopped working. She had also been rec'ing chemo treatments for a few years. It was an awful process. Good luck to Robin. She's lucky that she can get bone marrow transplant. That was not an option for my mother.
