RidicuList: Brain surgeon botches wedding proposal

A guy hides an engagement ring in the sand on a beach. Guess where this is going - right on the RidicuList.

Anderson, when I started watching this ridicuList piece I chuckled with amusement and then ended up doing the ugly laugh moaning with recognition of direct experience. Yes, I can share that the lack of common sense as it relates to wedding rings is not exclusive to the Brain Surgeon/Einsteins. The same goes for a highly-educated-at-Stanford-and-UCLA-physician who specializes in NUCLEAR MEDICINE who now has been lovingly provided with way more then the original wedding ring; my husband has FOUR rings of eternal love.
Each a RidicuList story of its own spanning 15 years and 4 children!
Furthermore, I can also relate to Dr. Sanjay Gupta's opinion that oftentimes the Common Sense factor is inversely proportional to the IQ score of a person who intellectually consumes 'Calculus and Physics for Dummies' as pleasure reading. This same person gets cited for driving to slow on the freeway (admitting speed limits are just a suggestion), continues making a too tight turn around a gatepost gouging out the side of the SUV (because he was already committed) and REALLY does not know how to tie his shoes (therefore buys only slip-on styles). Our four kids and I could regale you with many side-splitting stories of Pop's shenanigans, however we are too busy pulling our hair out in frustration.
Revealing his endearing nickname will have to suffice . . . Dr. Magoo!

Why would people bury engagement rings just to propose? So stupid!

I have to tell you another one. My father, during his medical training, accidently threw his wedding ring away when he took off a pair of surgical gloves. He didn't notice until it was too late. He never got another one; He was happily married to my mom but never wore another ring.
