The issue here is that the fundraising company in question is bankrolling the organization. By doing so, there is no transparency with regard to costs. They can charge whatever they like and all the money that comes in will go to paying down the (inflated?) costs of the mailings. This "technique" is a great way for the fundraising company to make a lot of money (using a legitimate charity to keep the printing presses rolling and their pockets full) but a poor way for the charity to realize any net profit which can be used to actually help veterans. And I doubt this is the only charity that the fundraising company is using this "technique" to "help".

This issue with the Veterans non profit organization. It seems that CUADRIGA ADVERTIZING is creating all these companies to legitimazed their profits. It is amazing you guys didn't focuse on this issue. This is why I don't give to any organization. My last one was giving $18.00 a month for 3 years to World Vision for educating childrens in Ecuador in the 1980. A friend went there to the village and found the child that I was receiving letter from ( I gave her a picture of the child and location) and I was helping. The child hardly received any assistant. The corruption is sickining. This look like the time of the French Revolution

Suffolk County, NY has been confronting this issue for years now and has actually passed Legislation specifically addressing the problem. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and the Suffolk County Veterans Service Agency have been and continue to take the problem on head first.
Disgraceful that these thieves can operate and literally steal money from caring Americans who donate thinking that they are doing the right thing. Sadly, for every dollar a person gives this group and others like them that is a dollar that they will not be giving to legitimate groups who actually do help the brave and good people who have served this nation.
