Unfortunately the lawyer, although i can't believe that woman is a lawyer, is right. Closing down that site will only move the ADs elsewhere like how it did when craigslist did it. We are not going to end prostitution, so we might as well stop trying and legalize it so we can regulate it like so many other countries have. That way we can track these women, ensure their welfare, make sure they are disease free and of legal age, and make sure they are not being exploited. closing this one site won't stop the demand, if these men are bold enough to sleep with underage girls found on the internet, they may be bold enough to kidnap them themselves or rape. At least this way we can find them and arrest them.
I think Anderson was too hard on this woman and really did not listen to her. She clearly said that the site works with Police and Investigators and has HELPED save some under-age girls and others that have been forced into service. She has a very important and valid point to make saving there is a distinction between legit adult activity in difficult economic times, and she has a valid point that if these bad-guys start using off-shore internet companies then there would be no help at all of recovering our young girls and victims of this abuse. I'm disappointed Anderson did not see this side of the story.
