The U.N. has a plan to send observers to Syria, but it's not enough to stop the attacks and enforce a cease-fire.

The world (us) should not allow Al- Assad's forces (them) to continue this "genocide-in-slow-motion". Mr. Al-Assad has manipulated and stalled at every juncture. When Arab League inspectors came in, the world saw how even these inspectors were astounded at the continuous shelling and killing of unarmed civilians and had to leave prematurely. I expect that the U.N. inspectors won't be able to effectively stop Al-Assad short of a multilateral coalition series of air stirkes followed up by occupying invasion forces to secure peace and deposition of this evil dictator. There is no uncertain coincidence that Bashar Al-Assad was the regional head of an arm of the same Ba'ath organization Sadam Hussein and Colonel Qaddafi were members of. Perhaps there is some inherent ideological link to the philosophy of this organization that is at the heart of an underlying greater problem and Al-Assad, and his measures, are just a huge horrible extension of a bigger, more integrated set of issues.
