He thinks "Zimmerman feels threatened." Ok, so we don't know that Zimmerman pursued Trayvon, according to Jeff. But, we do know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the guy was IN HIS CAR WHEN HE MADE THE CALL!!! Oh, yes, I feel threatened by you, so I'm going to get out of the safety of my vehicle? That makes absolutely no sense, Jeff. Surely, you are not that unintelligent. You mock others' intelligence for the sake of argument? Your logic makes no sense, so just concede that your opponent is right. Geez! No, you have to have the last word. Is it because she's a black woman, so therefore, her word cannot trump yours?
While you cover this poor child you may want to look at his twitter account and get the name he uses. You have done your best to join in with the people trying to play the race card. This is a case that is in the spot lite and if this man had not been within his legal right to protect himself an arrest would have been made. CNN should be held responsible for any damage caused or people who are injured because you tried to start a race riot just to sell a news story.
Anderson, this interview was sheer sensationalism. If you are producing this, I hope you reconsider. You have not been covering the atrocities in Syria at all since this story broke. There are children dying in the streets daily there. Two and three year olds being shot down by assault weapons in the street. And this continues. The world's focus needs to remain there in order to put pressure on our government and others to stop the madness. I am African American, and I am deeply troubled about the police response in this case. As a mother of two sons, it resonates deeply. However, many, many aspects of this case have been totally blown out of proportion. It started when the press kept insinuating that Zimmerman was white, when clearly, he is Hispanic. The racial aspect of it is that Trayvon is black, and had this story been the other way around, he would still be in jail. It's not a secret that the life of a black man in this country is valued less than any others. Still, I feel that this story is a diversionary tactic to get the short attention span of the American public off of the ongoing civil war in Syria. Stop the madness.
