Bounty put on Trayvon Martin shooter

A member of the New Black Panthers believes in 'an eye for an eye' even if Trayvon Martin's family doesn't. The group is offering a $10,000 reward for the capture of George Zimmerman.

Bounty? There is currently no warrant for his arrest. Detaining him is false imprisonment.

Behold the face of deep racism, what we hate we then become ourselves. This is the face and attitudes that once was common on the white faces that did such horrors to black people and now they are those people just a different color.

How can you fault any group who wants to fight for justice in a case that is clearly racist.

First of all how is this a race issue? Have you ever worked law enforcement or security? secound we all as americans when something happen are quick to put blame on others. No one knows the full details, but everyone wants answers. What happened to INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN guilty??????? there is no proof as of yet mr. Zimmerman was in the wrong. If infact he so was attacked by Mr. Martin first. As far as this new Black Panther Leader he is very ingorant in his comments and rebuttles to Anderson Cooper. What so is street law anyone who walks the street can just make up on the spur of the moment???? I am tired of whenever something happens to an African American citizen it becomes a race issue, so my question is why is it becoming a RACE issue without knowing FACT??????

Where are the authorities on this case?

Are we down to "trial by popular opinion?" And we allow the Black Panther to openly talk about a bounty? On someone who has been so far convicted of.....NOTHING?

What about sorting out the facts!

If Zimmerman acted illegally, then he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If he acted legally....then he should be free. None of us know what, exactly the facts are in this case at this point.....only "rumors" and "innuendo." Do we not have a system of laws?

Where is the President on this? Where are the Media?

EddieInFL....you ask where is the president and media on this....don't you turn on your TV? The president should NOT be involved, but he has made statements that simply fuel racism from the black community. So does Jackson and Sharpton. Now the New Black Panthers are offering a $10,000 bounty on Mr. Zimmerman's head! Every time I put the TV on, there it is "breaking news" on the situation. EddieInFL....you live in FL and should know the rules that are in place in our State (yes, I live in FL also) before you make such statements. Maybe you need to turn on the TV....

So, putting a $10K bounty on Zimmerman makes everything ok? Two wrongs don't make a right. Black Panthers, you're no better.

Unfortunate for both parties! This is a no win situation. Its best not to take sides. Regardless of what was heard, the Courts must focus on Eye wetness accounts .The black community will always stand up for their own, which is expected. I used to be a Teacher, no more.!!! In the parents eyes, their children never do no wrong. I could point fingers in both directions because neither party was completely innocent. I would have never volunteered to do Zimmerman's job. Zimmerman, did not belong there.. Material thing can always be replaced Confronting the youth was a mistake, If he could not handle himself man to man then using the gun was wrong. I'm not sure what i would have done. If Zimmerman identified himself correctly then there should have been no reason for the fight. Whoever lost control first then that is where the guilt lies.

The 911 dispatcher clearly told Zimmerman not to follow Martin but he did anyway. That fact alone should have thrown out the claim of self defense. Zimmerman had no right to ask Martin where he was going. Zimmerman didnt identify himself as neighborhood watch and he wasnt in uniform (because he didnt have a uniform because he was self appointed racist wanna be cop). Zimmerman called Martin a coon on the 911 tape so that makes it a hate crime. I love how Zimmermans racism ruined his life.

Thinly-disguised racism, in the name of anti-racism. Vigilantes in search of an assumed vigilante. Expressing love for one family; condemning another. Quoting holy text, while spewing vile hatred. And, donning legal cloaks while encouraging anarchy. Way to go Panthers – what profound consistency. And, maybe you didn't notice – your prey isn't even white.

Members of the black panthers should be arrested for putting a hit on zimmerman, and for every body else they have hurt and attacked over the years. They have avoided many prosecutions hiding under the defense of "The poor black man in america-=

They did not put a hit out on him, they posted a reward for his CAPTURE

If Zimmerman was so beat up, where are the photos showing his alleged bloody nose?

I am black and I detest this. I do NOT condone putting a bounty out on George Zimmerman. We have a court system. Give it an opportunity to work as it is supposed to. Allow him to be judged by a jury of his peers.

This whole thing is an issue BECAUSE THE COURT SYSTEM FAILED TRAYVON MARTIN AND HIS FAMILY. Zimmerman was let go on the mere claim of self defense after murdering an unarmed juvenile, without a thorough investigation. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

I couldn't agree more, Evelyn! I believe Zimmermann is most likely guilty, but meeting one type of 'vigilante justice' with another type of 'vigilante justice' will NOT solve the problem...

You are SO correct. This all has been taken out of control by those who just want the attention. We need to know the 'facts' of the event and go from there. No made up assumptions and especially statements from those who just want to have a confrontation with everyone. Hopefully, we will get the complete truth at some point.

I clearly see all the problems with the issues in the case of Trayvon Martin and what we need is the facts before making decisions. What I have already seen is the fact that we have a group that calls themselves an army involved in scare tactics, threats, and inciting violence. With their current act of offering a reward on Zimmerman they have defined themselves as being equal to people like Sadam who paid monies for terrorist acts against Israel. We sent the military to remove Sadam so why do we allow self professed terrorist groups to roam the streets here. The New Black Panthers are clearly a group whose purpose is to incite violence. I have heard the statement and I ask that if a white man offered a $10,000 reward for capture of Eric Holder for his involvement in fast and furious how long would he be on the street?

Way to go "Black Panthers" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why ?? and what will this accomplish ?? NOPTHING !! except continue emtion raising exchanges which have NO value in finding out the truth. They need to be arrested for contributing to the falsification of exchange and inhibiting a formal federal investigation. Where are the people who should be decrying what non-value affect this has on the whole situation ???

This is a perfect example of whats wrong in this country.... People Taking things too far which is exactly
what happened in the Trayvon case to begin with....Everywhere people are trying to make this a Racial issue,
or hoody issue, when all people are doing is allowing history to repeat itself. If we only had civility from one too another this tragic loss of life wouldn't have happened...Our children see and read about how we as "Adults" act, and grouping
ourselves against one another will certainly not make this world any better....

i partially agree although if the people had not taken it to the extent they have thus far the law wouldn't have served justice for the murder that occurred. its clearly a case of race but the panther party is making it seem like they need to put the concentration on revenge "eye for an eye" rather then letting the legal system work now that the attention has been brought to the right people.

I think you hit the nail on the head. These people are exploiting the weak for there own gain. He says white people need to stop killing black people. But where is he when a white person gets killed by a black guy? This is why Americans don't understand racism. It is a (for-profit business). a Scam a Fraud. Like occupy wall street.

its not a racial thing just things gone bad its a shame someone looses life , dont make it more than that white or black.

i don't understand why no one has brought up the fact that it seems like trayvon was the one who was using the "stand your ground" defense. he's walking along minding his own business, some big guy (zimmerman) starts following him & confronts him and so, fearing for his safety, trayvon attacks zimmerman & then zimmerman shoots & kills him. zimmerman can't claim self-defense because he instigated the whole thing.

it's as if a robber holds someone up with a gun and the victim tries to defend himself by attacking the robber & then the robber shoots the victim & then claims he (the robber) was justified in shooting because he felt threatened.

The new black panther party interview made me upset as an African American. I think that they are more of a hate group than anything. They are taking the focus off of Trayvon Martin and his family. I think the black panther group are using the Trayvon Martin case as an excuse for a race riot. Please keep everyone in prayer, that we remain in unity.

Thank you Anisha! You must have had parents like mine. I too pray for the best for all of us.None of us need KKK or the Black Panthers. Thank God most of us are way beyond this as Dr King wanted. As a white woman, blacks do not make me nervous but mean Godless people of any color race or sex do.

There were several things that bothered me about the black panther interview.
    1. He isn't a citizen yet he wants to enforce laws that he makes up.
    2. He has no regard for Trayvon's family's wishes.
    3. He kept talking about the white man this and the white man that. First, Zimmerman is not white. You can tell that by looking at him. Second, many white people are as outraged about this case as he is.
    4. He kept talking about Uncle Tom this and that...the white people this and that. He's as racist as anyone I've ever heard, and he's obviously full of hate. Even though he ticked me off, I'l pray for him. He needs it. His type of justice never helps.

This is aside from whether Zimmerman is guilty or innocent, why did Trayvon's parent's not know where he was or that he had died until days later? A topic America needs to address is the responsibility of parents is know where there child is no matter what color they are.

According to reports, they filed a missing person's report on him. I wondered how and why the police would not find this boy's family and allow them to suffer, and him to stay in that cold, dark place alone for 3 whole days.

Just wanted to reply to your statement. As a parent I have a sixteen year old son and there are many times my son will tell me he's going one place and ends up being somewhere else. At the end of the day we can't be with our children 24/7 all we can is pray and try not to worry for their safety but as parents that's what we do.As far as Trayvon parents rather they new where he was or not he didn't deserve to die, and as far as the police why did it take them so long to identify the body and tell tell his parent's that their son was dead.ARE YOU A PARENT just imagine if it was you

AC – Why don't you ask the all important question? Did the police take any photos of Zimmerman's injuries? I have heard he had a broken nose, and injuries to the back of his head. If the police didn't take pictures they are incompetant.
