This is a civil war with all the consequences it bears. Fighters, armed with light to medium armament. You keep showing them blowing up tanks, hunting snipers, patrolling areas etc.
Are these civilians? Oh, are they maybe hiding among civilians? God forbid, these piously bearded individuals might even be salafi Muslims on a Jihad to rid Damascus from the Alawite/Shiite infidels!
Even though all of this does not excuse Assad's actions, it would shed a different light on this conflict!
Fouad Ajami is a typical warmongering immigrant. He is not Syrian, he is Lebanese, not an Arab, his family are Iranian Shiite. Where did you dig this guy up, is this really the best you could find?
What kind of a leader is he for his country? Sickening! The Assads are so out of touch to not know there are people being killed out in the street, women and children being killed on a daily basis by their own military. Is this what they want for their people? What the world leaders can do is to not give them entry at all to any parts of their world until they solve the countries problem. To do that by the leaders of the world will send a message to leaders who are dictators of their own country. A good way to punish them.
Of course they are aware of what is happening, but after a year of civil war, life goes on!
Also, they would not have been the rulers of Syria, were they not ruthless! This would not be the first time they massacred a part of their own population.

war is not pretty. assad has the right to defense his country against terrorist , howre using shooting at government force...
I wonder what the rest of the world thinks about Assad murdering the citizens of Syria. The international criminal court in particular should be investigating Assad and his military leaders for crimes against humanity.
