When the sponsors start leaving, then remorse starts setting in. Frankly, I would pay for Rush Limbaugh to use contraception....PLEASE! While I don't agree with Mr. Limbaugh's failings in this situation, I find it disheartening that money (advertisement dollars) dictates and compromises one's stance on issues and what can be said in the media. This is what is wrong with this country today. It seems everyone's opinions and core beliefs can be dictated by the almighty dollar. Limbaugh was not sorry about his statements nor beliefs. Limbaugh was sorry that his beliefs and principles might endanger his lifestyle...... When one's convictions are easily swayed and retracted by the threat of poverty and removal of wealth, then what is the point of speaking?
What bothers me most about Rush Limbaugh's comments is a much broader issue: many listeners who like him share his opinion about women who use contraceptives–that they are doing so in order to be promiscuous. How horribly sexist is that??
