I've been on quite a few cruise ships, and the first thing they have us do, after lunch, is to put on our life vests and go to our muster stations to hear about emergency situations. Naturally, I went, but never thought we would ever need to use our life boats or jackets. Unfortunately, I think that the Captain waited much too long to get everyone into the life boats and also to make a MAYDAY call. This shoulld have been done almost immediately! For that I blame the Captain. I am very grateful that I wasn't on that ship. I am handicapped and I don't think I could ever have made it out alive, especially since it appears no one from the crew knew what to do. I'm happy that there were so many survivors.
