I don't understand the way the american media is covering this story.Every day men women and children are being murdered by a regime's military and we are being told that this is a civil war or may become a civil war. Since when are uprisings against brutal dictators called civil wars? We're being told that the christians support the regime-therefore what?.it is acceptable that men women and children get murdered every day for protesting a dictatorship becomes it is good for the christians?how can we as americans who profess to believe in universal human rights and the right to not live under a tyrant – jow can we equivocate regarding the mass murders taking place everyday by civilians fed up with dictatoship? I don't get it -mankind is us now and today people are being slaughtered by the regime for protesting against it-What could or would happen without a dictator remains to be seen but how can as americans not stand with the people against this regime come what may?is this not what we hoped would happen in iraq-that the people would rise up against their dictator? That the whole american media-left, right and center is ambiguous about coming to the aid and rescue of people being murdered every day by a regime very bizarre to say the least! And so too the way the reality on the ground of people in the streets rising up against the regime and being murdered-is papered over with a narrative about strife between sects -none of which has yet been manifested. The people on the streets are not rising up against different sects but against the very real and very brutal military regime!
i agree completely with you, the united states and nato should do the same thing as they did in libya in syria
The free Syrian people have a tiger by the tail, and their only choice now is to kill the tiger. If they let go they are dead anyway. It's no fly zone time. Keep the Arab spring going.
Glad to have Anderson back. This situation in Homs is very bad. Our nieces have had several neighbors shot dead by snipers this week. People cannot even move inside their homes for fear of being shot through their windows. The massacres in baba Amr this week were chilling. This is genocide by a government on their own people. The Assad regime and it's supporters are without humanity. The U.N. has a moral responsibility to act immediately!
