Reporter's Note: Christmas is past. Many of us are getting back to work, which for me means writing yet another letter to the White House.
Dear Mr. President,
Not sure how you are feeling, but frankly this Christmas whipped me like a dusty rug. I love the season, love the shopping, love the lights, dinners, and everything else, but good golly Miss Molly did it take it out of me this year. By the time I went to bed last night I was out of gas.
That said, we enjoyed a magnificent Cajun turkey late in the day that was a veritable Christmas miracle of taste. Ha!
I'm working only about half the week, which is good, although not as good as your busy schedule of cooling out on island shores. Must be nice.
Still, if I had to do your job all year for that priviledge, I'd probably pass.
Maybe I have yet to recover from the Christmas fun, because honestly that's about all I have to tell you. And that's probably just as well. You're likely not interested in reading much this week, and my Saints are on tv!
More tomorrow.
Regards,
Tom
