The lives led by the citizens of North Korea have never ceased to amaze me. It's hard to imagine that while the rest of the world connects through Facebook, Twitter, news networks and the like, the citizens of North Korea live in isolation believing that their totalitarian state is the most prosperous and democratic in the world. The mystery attached to this country begs for answers. It is my hope that new leader Kim Jong-un may be by some miracle the beginning of this change as a result of his schooling outside of North Korea; but I remain doubtful. What would his motivation be to change a system which directly benefits him?
