Tonight on AC360: Abuse allegations at Syracuse

AC360's Gary Tuchman is at Syracuse University investigating the allegations against former associate men's basketball coach Bernie Fine. In the first photo, head coach Jim Boeheim drives past Gary and Producer Chuck Hadad as they try to ask him about the case. Boeheim and Fine happen to live across the street from each other. In the photo below, Gary knocks on Fine's door to speak with him, and instead talks to his wife, Laurie. Tune in tonight at 8 p.m. ET for Gary's full report.

My mind is reeling... So, Paterno and Penn State were crucified (right or wrong, I don't know) in the press – including ESPN – and they all "had to go" because they had a "moral obligation" to do more – to prevent any continued abuse of children. But – the tape with the Syracuse coaches' wife goes to ESPN, and at "high levels" they sit around and discuss what to do with it – and decide to do nothing? Where is their moral obligation? The same standard applies. ESPN had a moral obligation to take this to the police – to prevent any continued abuse of children. And they did nothing. Let's apply the same standard: ESPN execs need to go. And shame on them.

This is a symptom of all things wrong with America, not only are we screwed by our elected leaders but by higher ups in the sports field as well. Is this why the pros are over paid and allowed to take a leak on the side lines as in the Chargers game, when any other person would have been arrested for public urination. End paid sports and over grown children and we are all better for it, then we would not have the Herman Cain's and Kardashians of this world to blight our country.
