Video: Alleged Penn State victim's mother talks

State College, Pennsylvania (CNN) - The mother of one of Jerry Sandusky's alleged victims - the first to come forward in the case - said her son is afraid the former Penn State coach might go free.

The son, who is identified as Victim 1 in the indictment, watched an NBC interview with Sandusky this week and cried, the mother told CNN on Wednesday.

"I said, 'Well, why did you cry?' And he said, 'Because I'm afraid that he might go free,' " said the woman, whose face and voice were altered to protect her - and by extension her son's - identity.

Sandusky told NBC's Bob Costas on Monday that he has been falsely accused, saying that he only "horsed around" with kids in the shower after workouts.

andusky denied being sexually attracted to boys, and his lawyer, Joe Amendola, told CNN on Monday night that showering with children does not equate automatically to sexual assault.

In the NBC interview, Sandusky denied one of the charges in the grand jury report that assistant coach Mike McQueary had walked in on him raping a boy about 10 years of age.

Sandusky was arrested on November 5, after the release of the grand jury report detailing crimes that he allegedly committed between 1994 and 2009. Sandusky is free on $100,000 bail, against the wishes of prosecutors.

The mother of the boy said she first got clues that something was wrong when her son's behavior changed.

Unfortunately, noticed a lot of negative coverage of PSU students over the past weeks. Just want to share that these students do so much to help charitable causes all over the world. I am the founder of a non-profit, Dream Sponsors, Inc. providing basic needs & school fees to Kenyan orphans. The PSU Rotarct club has embraced this cause and assisted us with fundraising events. They have demonstrated so much care and compassion for our orphans in need, with all their time and support. The youth of this campus do so much through their mega fundraiser THON....supporting children's pediatric cancer victims. Would love to see more positive, given these PSU students are much like the siblings in a family system in which horrific sexaul abuse has taken place. They most likely are still trying to grasp the unfortunate events unfolding from the actions of a very sick man and the failure of others to understand the unfortunate dysfunctional "family system" that enabled the ongoing violation of so many.

This type of abuse does not start in a vacuum. Is it possible that Sandusky was an alter boy?

Mr. Geragoes is all wrong.Maybe victim no.1 mother was comforting her son and wanting them to call the police because maybe she doesn't have a cell phone even in 2012 not everyone can afford one.And maybe she went to child welfare instead of the police station because she knows someone there.Give these two credit they came forward and stopped something when no one else would saving who knows how many others from the same fate and Mr. Geragoes wants to knitpick about how they did it , he is a piece of work.
