I think CNN is missing a bigger story than child abuse on this guy. Think about it, if this "judge" is treating his own daughter in this manner think about all the kids he legally may have abused in his court. Family court judges are in the "wild west" of the legal system which is largely unregulated. In the past year we saw one such judge in Pennsylvania convicted of imprisoning kids for money. In my area there was a sitting judge convicted with another man in a case of child porn. The judge got a year sentence and the other criminal was sentence to 10 years. (Sounds fair?) The system protects its own which is why reputation protectors actively seek out web sites of victims telling there stories. Ever wondered why you never hear of a consumer feedback web sites on lawyers & judges? This judge is a child abuser but more likely a he suffers from a god complex because he's been above the law most of his life. Legal abuse is a real PTSD situation.
When you correct a person (child) violently or with excess zeal, you only teach the person (child) to respond to you in a like manner.
I don't think this judge is wrong for giving his daughter discipline in this form. When I little I used to get whooped with a belt and it is not as bad as it seems. On the other hand, he did go a little too far for whooping her for several minutes.
There are several things I don't understand about this case. First why is anyone questioning what this young womans motive was for waiting so long to release the tpe. I Personally don't care. Even if this woman is putting it out there because he stopped supporting her , her motive for putting it out ther does not make it any less HORRIFIC the actions that were caught on viedo. The jerk isn't even denying that it is him he is justufying why he beat his child like she was a horse. Irony at it's best that he passed judgment and gave sentences to fellow abusers. This wasn't the first time he did this to this girl it was just the time she got smart enought to tape him being abusive. Insted of question her motives we should be releving him of his job and any bennifits– no severance, no health insurance , no retirment. And our government should be seeaking to sew him for breaking the law while having taken an oath to up hold the law. He can not be put on trial because the law dosen't allow it but we as americans should not support in anyway such a monster that doesn't deny what he did but make excusees for why.I don't care if she waited 7 days or 7 years or why she decided to public with the tape. I care that this woman was betten by a parent in the justice system advocating the abused but an abuser himself . A man who isn't denying that he did it and try to reson his way out of being an abuser. He has been with out adoubt cought and we are question the daughters motives on when she relesed the tape????? we should be praising her that no matter her motives she finally let the world know that her father beat someone. we should be behind her and showing her that the american publice will not tollerate abuse.
I am not condoning corporal punishment, but this young lady seems bright enough to know that posting such a video to Youtube is not the right way to go about helping her father. If you truly want to help somebody, you don't upload a video that could potentially "go viral", you take the video to somebody who can help you. I personally don't believe her claims that she wanted to help him more than hurt him.
