Anderson, in Ireland, any spanking is nearly always classed as child abuse, & if doctor's were to see signs of it in a hospital setting where parents admit or bring their child/children to A&E , they (the doctor's) would not hesitate to bring it to the attention of the authorities. Ireland has had a long history with institutional slapping with sticks & leathers & the results scarred the conscience of the country in more ways than one.

Now it is as close as banned as the state can make it, the protection of children is taken at it's most seriousness now, although a few bad egg still get through the system & end up in court for vile cruelty. And if/ when they do – feel the rigours of the law.

If you think that Rick Perry is wrong in saying that the Presidential debates on television is set up for personal attacks, then you are wrong sir. Television is set up for entertainment. As candidates fire back and fourth at eachother shows the viewer entertainment. If the debates were set up for logical response, which giving a logic response takes more than five seconds to think about the issue, then you would have something called dead air. I purpose that the debates not be telivised because the candidate who is charasmatic, charming, and good looking will win. We as a nation should take a point from the Lincoln-Douglas debates.
