Charges against Joshua Komisarjevsky

Joshua Komisarjevsky was convicted of all 17 charges for his involvement in a deadly 2007 Connecticut home invasion. The violent crime left Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters, 17-year-old Hayley Petit and 11-year-old Michaela Petit, dead. Komisarjevsky could receive the death penalty. Komisarjevsky was found guilty of the following charges:

  1. Murder of Jennifer Hawke-Petit and assisting Steven Hayes in causing her death
  2. Murder of Hayley Petit
  3.  Murder of Michaela Petit
  4. Capital Felony murder (Jennifer Hawke-Petit, Hayley Petit, Michaela Petit)
  5. Capital Felony murder of person under 16-years-old (Michaela Petit)
  6. Kidnapping (William Petit)
  7. Kidnapping (Jennifer Hawke-Petit)
  8. Kidnapping (Hayley Petit)
  9. Kidnapping (Michaela Petit)
  10. Capital Felony murder of kidnapped person (Jennifer Hawke-Petit)
  11. Capital Felony murder of kidnapped person (Hayley Petit)
  12. Capital Felony murder of kidnapped person (Michaela Petit)
  13. Sexual Assault (Michaela Petit)
  14. Capital Felony murder during sexual assault (Michaela Petit)
  15. Burglary in the second degree
  16. AArson
  17. Assault in the Second Degree (Dr. William Petit)
