May God rest his soul in eternal peace. There is no peace in anyone's heart for a death of another human being. We were not given the power to judge nor kill, all we need is FORGIVE. It is the hardest of all vocabularies as human beings, but last night as a country one life was taken away, reducing the population unexpectedly. To the family of the police officer, sorry for the loss of your son, and father. If justice was met to your family, then peace be with you, otherwise just free Davis from your hearts to become peaceful if he didn't do it. May God give strength to Troy Davis's family at this time of sorrow. God Bless America.

First, i like to send my sympathy to the Davis family. I know this may be the hardest tradgy you all have to face. i am so against legal injection or electric chair. who is us to take someones life and we can't give life. What is so sad is that this man may have lost his life for something he may have not done. Then what if the truth comes out, Noone can bring him back , not saiding i am not sad about the officer who also lost his life but i do feel they should had check it out before they kill Troy Davis. Thats why i am proud to say i am glad the last judgement is left in Gods hand not man because we all can be condem for something we didnt do!

You would sing a different song if it was your Dad who was killed

Not necessarily. There are many who have had loved ones killed who do not support the death penalty. I heard the mother say she can finally put some closure on the situation. She probably has already realized there is no such thing.

Based on the retraction of 7 of the original witnesses on what they saw I am bothered by Troy Davis' execution since it appears to be some reasonable doubt. But I am also bothered by something the Mother said referring to gun casings found at another shooting earlier that evening which she claimed linked Troy Davis to the murder. Could it please be verified or can more of the evidence be presented to make it balanced? I think it's only fair to hear the other evidence beside the "eye witness" accounts especially since I saw one of the jurors say that without these so-called "eye witnesses", she wouldn't have convicted. Give us both sides please.

The excution of Mr Davis was a killing. When people say that they lied in the case and you kill a black man anyway, what kind of Country are we. The loss was trageic, I believe that Troy Davis may of been their, but he did not kill the off duty officer. He died because he would not tell exactly who did kill the off duty oficer. The family just wanted a black man to be killed so they can say we got one of them. Americe killed a innocent man and the people who lied in the cohurson in the case know it!! May God have Mercey on the people who lied and the officers who carried out the excution. To the Supreme Court shame on you!!

I feel sorry for this women as she doesn't realize that today a life was taken. If she has any consience the death of Troy Davis will follow her all her life. As Troy (if he did it) had no right to take a life of her son also the government had no right to take any life. I feel sorry for all Americans as today you have shown to the whole world what a wild country you are.
God bless Europe as we live in civilization

If God is black she would have said the same thing. It's in our DNA. We cannot hide the fact that we have little regard for the lives of certain people simply because of their race. Justice was executed tonight and America would never be free from the blood of her innocent souls terminated because they are considered worthless. The hate and bitterness have long been there. How does the world know it's fair, that justice was done, when it already knows justice is simply relative.

Lining on the west coast of Canada this is not a story we had heard of until a few weeks ago. We feel a very
wrong act was committed tonight. With the amount of new evidence and changing stories Mr. Davis deserved
a new trial not death. Mr.Davis was correct in saying 'my god have mercy on your souls' We truly believe that
someday all will come to know an innocent man died tonight. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family,
friends and supporters of Troy Davis. God Bless all of you.
