Tonight we're Keeping Them Honest on Rick Perry's money man. The Texas governor's former chief of staff is now a highly paid lobbyist with ties to Merck, the same company that tripped up Perry on Monday at the CNN Tea Party Republican debate. And a millionaire charged with murder in Florida. He admits to shooting his wife on a call to 911. But his defense is now claiming she shot herself. That's crime and punishment. Plus, a surprise addition to the RidicuList and more.

Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

The man said, "She Done!"
Like Anderson, I was surprised at Jackie Kennedy's thoughts on Charles DeGaulle as well as all the people of France in general after the fantastic reception she received from them.
It would be very interesting to hear the other tapes of Jackie which won't be released for another 50 years or so.
It's fascinating to hear the recordings of Jackie Kennedy–not only for the content, but for being so used to only seeing her in photographs.
Yeah Jackie O,I love her honesty. She said what she was feeling and you could hear in her whispery voice how her emotions for her husband and children the love the passion the worry,it's compelling.I hope that no one is offending by what she said about martin luther king,he wasn't jesus, and by him being a man always traveling, there were spies and he did things that were not morally good for his family, and this has been widely reported through out the years.I think she spoke on what she knew and what she was told, fascinating.
Hello Everyone! Sorry i'm late, but just got back from Santa Fe.
It is facinating to listen to Jackie Kennedy's voice and feelings!
I still remember her trip to Frane (with Pres. Kennedy & his famous remark about the trip).
Hi Starr,
Nice see you join with us so late!!!!! I agree with you!
The JFK era was a whole different world for women. She idolized JFK so much that I don't know if it would portray an accurate history of political times during his administration. Very interesting to hear her perspectives.
Oh wow!!! I was surprised Jackie Kennedy was revealed their tapes right now.
Good night Anderson! Sweet dreams. Good night Everyone. See you tomorrow.......
That's a wild cat which that cat have seen the world!
Congrats for Sgt. Dakota Meyer medal of honor,
Wow!!!!! Williow the cat alone traveled for 5 years in NYC????? Owners worried about her/him!
I love "The Shot" my favorite horse licked dog so cute, I love it!!!!! Thank you choosing horse. Anderson!!!!! 🙂
Fully agree on Sgt. Dakota!! Beyond heroics! What a truly amazing account of what he and his companioin did. I understand the man who assisted is up for the medal too!
Cute, mysterious cat.
Willow will have a tell all book out soon chronicalling her 5 year story on the road–quite a tail, err I mean tale.
That pony is so cute!
That cat is beautiful and lucky. I'm wondering if she remembered her owners when they were reunited; didn't see all of Anderson's earlier show today.
A loose cat!
Anderson ,I agree with james,it is obvious that the people surrounding this intelligent, charming president is not helping him.The media attention is all on the republicans right now, where are the democratic rallies and gatherings.the constant e-mails asking for donations and will you canvas might have worked in 2008,but now people want fire, want to really feel that the president is really putting up a fight for them,to be out front of the story. Also it is strange that a lot of reporters and political talking heads are wondering why the president didnt get a bump after his jobs speech, was anybody watching, right after his speech came breaking news a credible terror threat for 9/11 that took over all media, and we all know it.So while I think that the president should be reported on whether negative or positive,I just think it needs to be fair .I think that if there was no terror threat on that night the main subject matter would have been his jobs bill.
I agre he is so intelligent and charming – i cant believe the people he chose are not helping him. and i cant believe that his 3rd jobs bill and his latest jobs speaches didnt get him a bump in the polls, people are getting more demanding every day.
That dog looks scared.
When cervical cancer can appear later in life, can you imagine how your daughter would feel if she had a lethal form of cervical cancer at 38 and it could have been avoided if you had just thought ahead and did the right thing. How could any parent even think to risk that kind of future for their children!! Science has given us a gift through research and hard work, don't ignore it.
Also, physicians are seeing more throat and mouth cancer caused by the HPV virus, and seeing it in younger patients now, 30 years old or so.
Yes!!!! Good point there!!!! I hope ladies will hear this very important message!!!
Anderson,
Yes!!!!! You"re so absolutely right, Please show us your proof HVP vaccine, Michelle Bachmann!!!!!
She did say, "Retarded!"
Yes, she did. She said mental retardation.
Yell, "mental retardation" that what she said!
Gloria,
Yes, She is!!!!
We already knew that she is not a scientist or a doctor.
Bachmann doing damage control
Mr. President , you are not in the business of being nice to the Republicans that is not why you are there. Forget them!
She shouldn't be making statements like that as a politician......
Hi Anderson! Hi Everyone! Good evening.
Interesting conversation with James Carville, Anderson–more a call to action.
In my mind, Obama is still the leader. He has inherited very difficult problems. If people get more and more unhappy all they will want is 'change', the very thing he campaigned for initially.
i usually find that james carville has something interesting to add to a topical conversation – don't always agree, but find it thought-provoking
And next time Mr. President give any speech at any time of day!
Think the President should change those routine advisers, and do it his way!
James is perfect right about our president Obama....... We need him re-election for sure, I will vote for him, He is best commucation as well!
I don't know if James Carville is right. I'm not sure firing people and stomping around will change anything. Nothing anyone does is going to turn things around instantly. All plans will take time. The President has a Jobs Act he wants passed and the Reps say they have a plan they will reveal soon. If parts of each can be adopted that's great but even that won't produce overnight results.
I think if some of these candidates would start qualifying their 'jobs' rhetoric with something like 'American jobs' instead.
I hear create jobs this and create jobs that, but where will the jobs be created – most likely overseas in the economy of yesterday. I want to hear I will create American jobs. American jobs!
"Moreover, Mike Toomey, an Austin lobbyist that represented Merck during the Gardasil decision, has promised to raise $55 million to back Perry’s presidential bid using an independent so-called SuperPAC. "
Hellooooo everyone and Anderson!!!!
Thanks for coming in for join us tonight! 😀
Happy Thursday night!!!
Oh no! I can't watch republican debate.......: Perry lied to me over and over again! 🙁
Hello everyone. Toomey sounds like he has alot of influence in Texas. The underbelly of politics is a little scary.
yea, sort of like Solyndra ?
Who knows on that one, Mike. Over eagerness without researching the market or what the company had been doing in the past. Wait for more info.
that sounds good, but Over eagerness without researching the market or the company with taxpayer funds – couple that with close ties to the investors who happens to be a bundler for the president. i would think cnn would want to spend a couple of minutes looking at that.
Agree with you there. I'll wait and see. There are lots of eye-openers to come if enough courage to investigate and start prosecuting exists. Smell corruption all over.
True, Mike. A big investor in Solyndra was a major contributor of President Obama's.
Good evening everyone. I think this issue will hurt Rick Perry but the question is how much. If he becomes the popular front-runner it might not matter. If I were a Republican which I'm not, I would rather vote for Mitt Romney. This whole Merck thing smells bad.
Good point, I agree with you, Sharon!!!!!! 🙂
Presidential candidates should come across as an individuals with power and determination to get their vision done, not puppets for big-money.
Yes, Janis...... I agree...... You have good point there.
how about presidents, to what standard should we hold them
Good Evening everyone
. Merck raising around $55 million to back Perry’s presidential campaign
That's the reason why she refused to look at him.
Anderson,
Hi! It's great to see you on. I'm still getting used to watching you several times a day.
Sounds like a fascinating program tonight–still much fallout from the debate.
Good Evening Everyone! Greetings!
