Anderson I have admired and watched you since that terrible day you were in the underground parking lot, barely hanging on, during hurricane Katrina! But tonight's replay of the incident with Gérard Depardieu, an actor I have admired for many years, was absolutely delightful! Your puns were hysterical and watching Gérard explain with all his earthy gusto was very funny. One might have said in this instance, "Que sera sera, what will pee, will pee".
N'est-ce pas? Wee wee? Keep on keepin' them honest, Anderson. 🙂 We'll keep watching. ~Barbara
Wait till your older, and you can't hold it!
I have tears running down my face I am laughing so hard! Anderson, you crack me up!!!!! Your laugh, seriously?! Hilarious!!!! Oh god, I needed that! Next time I have a crap day, I'm going to cue this video up again! Love it!
Anderson, OMG, is your next thing going to be standup comedy? I'll tune in! Not only a million puns, but bilingual ones? Impressive! Thanks for making me laugh!
Hi Anderson – I have been looking forward to the premiere of your show and it is as good as I knew it would be. Yesterday's episode - specifically your "giggling fit" - was exactly what I needed to pick me up on a really bad day for me! Thank you!! Keep up the great work (which really is a stupid thing to say, because everything Anderson is great)!
Anderson Cooper should do himself as a Ridiculist for his silly performance and giggling about Gerard Depardieu. OMG it was not as funny (his comments (puns) about "2" to me as it was to himself. Anderson is great in his serious stories, but missed the boat on this one. Respectfully Submitted. Bill
Anderson, you did not understand the joke. Gerard Depardieu has played the role of Obelix in several movies (Obelix is a Gaul in the comic series Asterix and Obelix who fights the invading Romans). The comic is a satarical piece about the French people and their culture. This character is obsessed with eating wild boars and that is what gives him his strength. In the clip, Depardieu becomes a hungry Obelix who needs to eat immediately, which is spoof on his needing to empty his bladder.
I agree that what Depardieu did on that plane was in very poor taste but perhaps he has a bladder problem and needed to use a bottle to relieve his discomfort!
Please refrain from commenting on cultures you are unfamiliar with unless you take the time to inform yourself. BC,
Strange one would think that a world travelled reporter like you mr.Cooper would know that Gerard Depardieu was doing a parody of the event dressed as OBELIX, the famous french cartoon character which he has been portraying for at least 3 movies that I know of..Thank you, Bobby Jasmin.
@gdepardieux .In his rebuttal, Depardieux was dressed up as Clovis, King of Franks! It was funny, but his behavior on that flight was plain outrageous. I'm glad I was not on the same plane, So, no support from me. I'm from Paris.
Anderson, listening to your comments abt Depardieu's parody of his aeroplane incident was disappointing. While his urinating is worthy of being called ridiculous, your characterizing of his costume and humor was at best ignorant. His appearance as the iconic cartoon character Obelisk was immediately obvious, and calling it some Viking tweedle dee like thing gave away the ignorance. Obelisk's love for eating lots of food and his fondness for wild boar is as famous as Batman and the Batmobile in many parts of the world outside America. I am a big fan of yours, but this one made me shake my head.
Anderson, you are absolutely adorable! I love the giggle break. You never fail to make my day awesome. Thanks! 🙂
If Gerard had to go, why did they not let him use "the fully equipped facilities" they have.. He is old and most likely has prostate hypertrophy and urinary retention and just had to go, especially if he was drinking. Alcohol is a diuretic. Look it up. But he did some good, you had a great laugh and that is wonderful. He is a great actor and is still spreading joy. He needs no excuses. The plane's crew needs a mental check up. Grow up and let him use the rest room. What harm could it have done. That is the French for you. the knives have to be set just so!
you're absolutely brilliant 😀 !
It was so good to see Anderson cracking up. He made me laugh too – something that's hard to come by these days. I'm glad he's not all serious! Diana
I loved your Ridiculist on Gerard Depardieu. I was laughing almost as hard as you. Thank you for all you hard work to bring us news and information. I appriciate your journalism and your humor, even if it make you break down laughing. Keep on enlightening us and telling the stories of many from around the world.
this one will been shown in BLOOPERS buth abouth the actor : youv'nt seen nothing jet
I'm laughing more about AC's giggling than the actual news.
If there was any doubt before that Anderson Cooper is a complete and utter twit, one need only watch him having a giggle fit at the expense of Gerard Depardieu. Depardieu, who has a prostate problem, may be cured by medical science, but for Anderson Cooper, I'm afraid there is no cure for what he has. That was one of the most shameful moments I have ever seen on a television screen.
The very best part was Anderson himself (as if we didn't know that).
It was perfect and I could not help but laugh with him. Genuine laughter is contagious even so removed as over the internet. Adorable! TWO thumbs up! I'd give it 5 or 6 if I had that many!
I love,love,love that precious man-And
erson Cooper. Laughter is therapeutic and I will watch him giggling every day to improve my health.
Anderson,
I think that your RidicuList Re: Gerard Depardieu was one of the funniest things I have ever seen in my life and for sure anytime I am having a bad day or the News of the world is just too much I will most assuredly return to view your video to make my heart smile.....
Thank-you!!
Sincerely,
Isabella.
What part of the airplane?. First or coach.
Re: your uncontrollable laughing frenzy reporting on Depardieu...I would have "peed" in my pants from laughing so hard...LMAO!!!
this was hilarious. Needed this laughter!
Anderson- I have been watching CNN for a long period of time because I think the channel, and your show in particular, really strives to report the news in a no non-sense, and professional manner-truly-fair and balanced. However, I have to tell you that my spouse and I really got a kick out of watching the Case of the Giggles episode regarding French actor-Gerard Depardieu. We play this segment over and over, and it still bring laughter and joy to the newscast, which is mostly serious and frighting. Thank you for making our lives a little brighter! -and thanks for keeping everyone on your show honest.
Anderson,
You have made me laugh so hard. I had tears streaming down my face.
It felt so good to laugh, and keep laughing. Thank you for not being able to "contain it" and "just lose it" in front of everyone. Perfect!!
Your "Case of the giggles" is also such good humor. Your laughter is wonderful, infectious and appreciated.
Thanks for 2 great "numbers".

My friends and I have been studying for the MCAT that we're taking in a couple of weeks and whenever we're getting fed up, we've taken to watching this as a quick break. Most infectious laugh e v e r.
