    If you do not like congress, blame the founding fathers. The system was designed to work only when there is a near consensus. Jefferson and Hamilton invented political parties to make it easier to get things done.

    The system is designed to force compromise. In 1861, compromise was impossible.

    America needs an election in which the issue is social security (including old age, survivors, disability, medicare and medicaid).

    I hope we default, We did to address everything now. We have been putting band-aids on everything. We are so worried about jobs and how a default will harm job recovery we have no jobs anyway so what jobs is it going take? have you seen the numbers. 9.2. The people have been waiting for the check in the mail for 4 years.

    Would someone please tell the nuts in Wasington to take the easy choice. That choice is to raise the debt limit for 3 years and a schedule to reduce ir by 1/2 a Trillion per year after the 3 years. That give EVERYONE what they want. The GOP gets NO TAX, The Dem.get no Cuts to "their programs", the Tea Party gets a balanced buget because that the only way to reduce the debt limit long term, and the Preserdent gets a long term deal.
