There is never a time to "compromise" with a Republican! Sure! Lets set the standards to fill a Republicans needs!!!! That's why our situation keeps getting worse.
Ha...funny that CNN chooses Graves to speak about debt. Let's think about this. Graves is currently in a lawsuit with a bank in Cartersville, Ga. over a 2.25 million dollar loan that he took out to open a hotel in Calhoun, Ga. and defaulted on. But before this lawsuit, Graves tried to go behind the bank's back and sold the failed hotel, w/o notifying said bank. Not to mention the man is not up to date with his taxes. Sorry CNN, get more reliable sources, because im finding hard to take advice from a man who can't his own money problems in check.
You Republicans have been waiting a long time to get your hands on our entitlements, social security and medicare, and you finally figure this is it. How are you going to answer your constituents who depend upon them? Do not touch the entitlements.
Some of the statements we hear from republicans make my stomach turn. For congressman Tom Graves (R) from Georgia to say that we have to wait to see how the market will react when U.S defaults in meeting its obligations speaks volumes about his lack of understanding of economics. Can someone tell him once again that U.S can not afford to do just that; and that if it does, the consequences will be catostrophic globally. Of course, I am not surprised. There is no doubt that many republicans, including some of their presidential candidates do not understand economics beyond demand and supply. No wonder they put us in this mess.
