Letters to the President: #906 'A presidential storm front'
Reporter's Note: President Obama, according to some accounts, stormed out of the latest debt ceiling talks. Others suggest that is not entirely accurate. All I know is that there are probably worse things you can do when negotiations stall.
Dear Mr. President,
What on earth happened with the Republicans in that debt ceiling meeting? As best I could tell from the early reports it ended just short of a chair throwing punch-up, with you and them storming out in a huff. My understanding is that it was so bad you even woke up Biden!

Actually, I have no idea what actually went on at the end of that meeting. As usual with such matters, all the different witnesses have differing accounts. All that seems clear is that you all did not come to an agreement, jot the details on a legal pad, and then go out for burgers and beer.
