Two republican Presidential hopefuls, Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum, signed a controversial marriage pledge. Part of the pledge compared the family situation of African-American children living under slavery to african-american kids today. The conclusion: black slave children had stronger families under slavery. its factually false. We'll go through fine print, something the Bachmann campaign claims they didn't do. There's also the political backpedaling. We're Keeping Them Honest. Also tonight, news details on what will happen with Casey Anthony is released from jail in six days.

Here are some of them:
1) Keep it short (we don't have time to read a "book")
2) Don't write in ALL CAPS (there's no need to yell)
3) Use your real name (first name only is fine)
4) No links
5) Watch your language (keep it G-rated; PG at worst - and that includes $#&*)

A really great show tonight Anderson on some important topics. Thanks for keeping them honest once again. Good to see all of you on the blog. Good night everyone.
Good Night Everyone! Sleep Well! "Help!!!!!"
Cute children. It reminds me of teaching preschool.
Yes, but 24-hours per day?
Where is the parachute! Thank you Anderson!
Good night and sweet dreams!
Great show so far. Kudos, AC, for that comment about why no one should be making references to Nazis or slavery during a political discussion. The best political figures should not even need to use such extreme references just to demonize their opponents. You're right- it is the easy way out compared to keeping it civil and pointing out their opponent's stances on the political issues. It's also great to see a non-Casey-centered show, and returning to the important issues. 🙂
Agree on both your comments.
Have her on your new daytime show as a childcare specialist. – maybe...
Good night, Anderson and team AC360 and fellow bloggers.
Have a safe and happy evening.
oh happy monday! i love that nancy grace scene – totally classic. i have to admit – i find the ridiculist a little more hilarious every time i watch it – especially recently!
BTW, Congrats Beckman have new baby girl!!!!! 🙂
Night Anderson, staff and other bloggers. Have a wonderful and safe week!
Rep. Bachmann and former Sen. Santorum are both experienced politicians – they both would have recognized the downside of this paragraph if they had read it. The fact that they have chosen aides who failed to recognize the meaning of this paragraph and allowed their names to be associated with it says a lot about their standards in choosing staff for important positions. This shows why neither is qualified to be President – a job in which a careless mistake caused by inattention or or poor advice from an unqualified staffer can lead to much worse than bad publicity.
Thank you & goodnight Anderson & Team 360. Really great show tonight!
Good nigh fellow writers, wish you all a safe & peaceful day tomorrow (and always).
LOVE the reduculist tonight! I'm always thankful, Anderson, for the laughs given the sate of the day! And, of course, your commentary is delightful.

That's so silly I like ridiculist Octmom haters , LOL! So funny Anderson, Thanks Anderson!!!!
Anderson,
Have a great/good night, Tight sleep & rest,
See you tomorrow night!
I bet that flight was not fun at all. Children never do what you want civilized people to do. Give Octomom a break. She's earning money to feed them. Give her a break.
She must not sleep.
the situation with the baseball dad who fell is so sad
I can not imagine having 8 two-year olds at one time. Octomom deserves a medal.
May both families find comfort during the loss of their love ones!
Mrs. Ford left a wonderful legacy.
Emily, you are soo right! Mrs. Ford will never be forgotten for the terrifc legacy she has left for all who need the help she established.
A sixteen pound baby!
Jaycee Dugard teaches us all to raise above our circumstances no matter how horrible it may seem and continue to believe and hope for better days!
Octomom made some very bad decisions motivated by very immature thinking, but now she has all those kids and she is trying the best she can to do right by them. She wound up a single mom raising 8 kids, can't imagine. I'm tired when I have my 2 youngest grandkids for a couple days.
Jaycee Dugard does seem to have incredible inner strength for someone who was kidnapped at such a young age.
What happened to that father who went to the baseball game with his son it truly heart breaking!
The player who tried to throw him the ball must be feeling so bad too!
Emily,
It was Josh Hamilton threw a ball to him cause to catch and he fell his life..... That was so breaking heart his son.
Thanks Megan! He must be feeling really guilty! (if only I didn't throw him the ball, or just a little harder..)
Really very sad. Of course, it's not his fault at all. He'll never forget that moment, however.
Bloggers,
Last night I watch Diane Sawyer interview Jaycee Durgard..... She is doing well, She have hard times struggle her life. And she missed her school, friends, her mom for 18 years now........ That was so amazing story.
She had the will to survive.
jaycee dugard experienced learned helplessness with her captor
She wore handcuffs for eighteen years?
Yes, she was cuffed herself as well.
It is still too early for jaycee dugard. She is still in shock and trying to cope with her life. Give it 5 or 10 years. Hopefully she will be able to grieve the loss of her life for so many years....
God bless Jaycee Dugard! I agree, she should Not let "him" allow her to have rage or anyother emotion of hers.
Jaycee is truly a remarkable young woman! She will always have my admiration.
I agree with you Starr!
"she should Not let "him" allow her to have rage or any other emotion of hers."
Yes, Starr, that would be best case scenario. However, it would be best for her to be able to grieve her loss so she can be set free and move on. I suspect she has learned to emotionally shut down in order to cope. That is a problem as she will struggle with intimate relationships and fear closeness with men.
Jayee looks wonderful, doesn't she?
Emily, your are right! She looks so young and beautiful!
As i said before, she is a remarkable young woman!
It's amazing the way "mothers" think. When you become a parent, it really effects you.
The Shot is so funny video I love!!!!! Thanks Anderson!!!!!! LOL!
She is a remarkable woman now. So resilient. A true survivor.
Anderson,
You are completely right that people do a complete disservice to those who experienced the horrors of slavery and the Nazis when they compare politicians or political issues to them. My wife and I recently visited the Dachau concentration camp. To see the things and hear the stories of what took place there convinced me that anyone who would make those types of comparisons truly do not have any perspective.
36yrs is not nearly long enough!!
Greetings everyone,
I don't understand how did this got into a marriage pledge to indicate that black slave children had stronger families under slavery. What is the basis or benefit for this, if not to praise slavery to some extent? Were there any other comparing besides the African American families in this pledge?
Great shot Anderson & i'm so glad she accepted his invitation!
Isha is right, there was some "swagger", however Marines can carry that (as well as all of the other service members!)
I like Octomom. I don't think she used good judgement in the past but I think she has a good heart and loves everyone who cares about her and her kids. Give her a break.
